Don't worry, EXPERTS will come out and suggest:
1) you put a mask over your project to keep the glitter out, but it's okay to lift the mask to work on the project in that room.
2) as long as the person who started using glitter stops using glitter, it's okay if they leave the open glitter box near a fan (asymptomatic spread)
3) Injecting your other art with a product "not quite proven" to prevent glitter from landing on it will make your art project safe... But we don't know if it will ruin the project or not, and we hope it dries without making it magnetic. (And when > 90% of protected art in Israel was still infected with Glitter... stop looking at that)
4) If someone finds evidence that over 1,000 patents were filed for making glitter spread faster and ruin projects, and that SAME person was the one who brought in the glitter for their project, and they claim, despite being told that "doing this is dangerous and causes glitter to spread wildly", they paid for the research to be done (in a foreign country, where the laws aren't as strict).
5) It's discovered they they predicted this glitter mess about 3-4 years before it happened... (and it turns out, they and their friends PROFIT from the testing and glitter protection)
THEN I think the analogy is spot on.
And to make the spread look worse, dust/dirt is counted as glitter (cycle counts > 27)
Oh, and if an art project is ruined by "glitter protection"...
Well, you need to provide proof, because those projects were at risk anyways

What is the deal with Light and dark mode in Windows10? What is the reason dark mode sprang into existence?
I have always used Light mode. I'm wondering if I should "come to the dark side".
Finally, which mode do you use and why?

I don't know. What I do know is that things moving around on a dark background cause me discomfort, while the same things moving around on a white background do not.

I find the opposite true, but I have moderate dyslexia, and it helps reduce eye strain. for some reason dark mode fixes the words bumping into each other than light mode for me. but there needs to be a pretty good contrast for this to work well.
there are quite a few studies that back this up.

Back in the day, all we had was dark mode (monochrome). I prefer the light myself, but I do have a universe (space) background. Does that count?

Call me a sith but I have the dark mode on. Much much less pain in the eyes in the end of the day due to less contrast.

It's not the contrast, it's the brightness. Most people have their monitors set up so bright it's like staring at the sun. No wonder it gets painful.
Right now, both of my monitors have their brightness set down to 0 (that's right, zero). Contrast on one is set to 50%, the other at 75%.
I've been setting up my monitors that way for decades, and I've never felt that any pain could be attributed to staring at a monitor all day.
Of course I can't say how good your display will be with brightness at 0 if you're using a dark theme. But the default light theme has been working great for me since Windows 3.0...
Oh, and a good reason to avoid dark theme...on a bright, sunny day, the layer of dust isn't visible.

I agree, so many people have their screen way too bright.
Funny anecdote is that I was told at the time that the switch from dark to light background was made because it is more readable and reduces eye strain.

Once color monitors were commonplace, I remember reading that green over black was considered to be the worst color combination imaginable. I have no problem believing that.
