so PowerBI was updated. There are some good updates in the release. Butttt. The video on YourTubies
Linky here.[^]
It has the comments turned off.
Obviously MS doesn't want to listen to real people comment on their product. Not surprised. But kind of annoyed. Listen to the people! come on. We won't hurt your feelings tooo much if you let us talk to you.

Or they just don't want to park someone on the comments section to reply, as they have other channels to monitor?

Then they could post the video in one of those channels as "Tiny Offtopic"

Frankly, I think the world would be just a slightly brighter place if Youtube turned comments off on every single video.
But then I'm one of those lunatics that blames social media for ruining us.

Those are not lunatics. They're the rest of us who never bought into social media to begin with.

There's something to be said about the signal to noise ratio. A public forum like YouTube's comments is rather dismal place to gather people's feedback.
I can see how it might benefit someone for whom this is the only way to get opinions, but this is not the case for PowerBI, of all things.
Put another way: How would you like to have to rely on YouTube comments instead of a proper bug tracker to drive your development plans? Yeah, no.

not sure employees would want to view random comments....n waste time when they should be working....
they do mention.... More questions? Try asking the Power BI Community @ https://community.powerbi.com/ ...... in their description

Hi everyone,
Just looking for advice, I am a recent graduate from computer science so I have somewhat of an understanding of coding. I want to make my portfolio better for getting a job and was thinking of creating a timesheet project for it.
I want to create a timesheet for a third party user who has access to the timesheet but no one else can see his timesheet but him
The user details will be saved so that they dont't have to keep repeating the process of entering their details everytime.
The manager would be able to see everyones timesheets submitted for the month. So could possibly be uploaded to a database ?
This is the idea I had in mind. So any advice would be great and if it would be simple enough to create. I would probably use java, javascript, css, html and maybe react

Good project.
A nice balance between server side and client side.
Get on it.

The general idea is a good one, and can demonstrate both server-side and client-side skills. If this were my project, I would be considering the following issues:
- Security - SQL injection, passing passwords in cleartext, etc. should never be allowed
- Authentication - who is allowed to view data? Modify data? Where is this checked?
- Caching - is any client-side caching performed? How is this synchronised with the server?
- Data formats - how will the data be stored? Use appropriate formats for each!
- Report types - who may view them?
- Defining users - managers, workers, contractors, are some people in more than one category? Who can add/delete users?
Once you have decided all the above, the necessary code and data on both client and server will be easier to design.
Note that you don't have to build a fully-blown commercial system, but showing that you have thought of the issues will help you stand out from the crowd.

Adding to what Daniel said don't forget to consider
Shifts
Split Shifts
Shifts that cross midnight
Leave
Day in Lieu
And now you are into a HR system.
Absolutely essential that you define the scope you want to limit the project to, this particular one can blow out to a monster that consumes all your time.
