Tried to watch the Web Session of the VS2017 Launch Training Sessions, but the site went down about a minute into it.
Just getting "The service is unavailable.

Microsoft has been having sporadic service outages for the last 2.5 days, including Hotmail, etc. This might have something to do with your issue.

Yeah, happened to me too. Was disappointing. The session should have been recorded though and available at some point, I suppose.

You're correct - I was thinking in terms of grammatical parallelism:
dogs => cats
So indeed, cat scan has the sound of it, as does cat's can.
S isn't missing - merely misplaced (I shall edit the post, accordingly)
