Theoretically when you get close enough to a black hole you will be fried by radiation.
if you emit a light beam from your position to the outside, the light will be red shifted, because your time has slowed down, conversely all the incoming light will be blue shifted to ultra violet, then gamma rays.
(you will probably not see visible light pictures as far as I understood)

Due to circumstances beyond my control I went to Bingo with my wife last night.
I found it both stressful and boring.
But they don't half take some money.
Even the smoking area is equipped with coin slots so they can keep feeding in pounds when going outside. I wouldn't be surprised to find the stalls in the toilets had them too.

Must admit I've never seen the point (and even less so for the online versions they keep pushing on the IdiotBox). My neighbour loves it though - and he's teetotal, so it isn't an acceptable way of getting bladdered either.

To be fair, you aren't a lady of a certain age. My understanding of it is that they go to socialise, much like going to the pub, but crucially cheaper - an expensive session will be £10-15 but will last all evening. Of course, if you start playing the slot machines etc I image the cost will skyrocket.

We had various vouchers because it was my wife's and her mother's birthdays last week, and it was with the two of them I went.
Her mother commented at one point about the number of people there on their own, and my wife said they go in groups, but sit alone when they play, and they also move around the hall playing at different tables to try to locate the luck.
Also I would say that there were almost as many men there as women, Jim was celebrating his 80th birthday there, very strange place.

Believe it or not, this is the industry I work in. My company started 20+ years ago making bingo "computers" (just embedded systems with screens that would automatically mark bingo cards) and now it has morphed into an intranet ASP.NET system.
Yes, over here in the states, it is also skewed to older women too.

I love bingo. I play a good game of bingo every few months. I have been playing bingo for 2 or 3 years now, and haven't won once. I always win a few times at the slots.
Slots are great. I usually play in the early morning, when the pay outs are more frequent.

My daughter went to a Catholic school, so we were required to volunteer at bingo every so often. Unbelievable how much money people would spend - $400 or more, carried in brown envelopes that government assistance checks come in.

SO we just need some plain white storage unit, pretty tall, 2.4 meters, with shelves, door etc, just to stick stuff in in the utility kitchen.
So its off to Ikea. 117 euros later, get it up, and there are two fissures on one of the side panels.
I could have got the tools out, got some pine planking, and done it myself in probably 2 hours.
Now I have to drive back to the sodding Ikea store and change this piece, which will take two hours anyway, I wish I had! And it would have cost 60 euros!
I am fed up with Ikea. They only do two things well. That chair from way back that is dead comfy for the back, and their food. Everything else is plain and dull, and while it was well made, at least functional. These days it is all made of cheap garbage and is just crap. The fabrics are crap, the venetian blinds are crap, everything. Its all just cheap ugly junk.
Why oh why do I keep going back. I am sure I will be lured into the Ikea trap again though.

You forgot the "going back to shop to get broken/missing bits replaced" though. Seems to be a repeating theme these days.
Oh yes, and Ikea France totally ignore the EU law on 2 years sale of goods act. Bastards.
