When asked to remove the demo, a spokesman for the company said "I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that."

It proves nothing of the sort.
It merely means that by changing the data they can simulate the appropriate conditions under which the picture may have been taken.
It does not PROVE that the picture was taken there.
I do wish non-scientists would not use words they do not understand.

I doubt that anything even the best scientists in the world could come up with would be accepted as a proof by non-believers. And believers already believe. So there is no point in trying to prove it took place, or did not.

Great idea! And just to top the lunar explorers' stunts launching golf balls in low gravity, we can have the team break off one of the smaller rings and fling it like a Frisbee towards Uranus. A ring around Uranus is bound to draw attention.
