First step to unify desktop and touch devices?

A manipulation occurs when touch is interpreted as a physical action that is applied to an object. In WPF, manipulation events interpret input as a translation, expansion, or rotation manipulation. You usually interact with manipulations through the manipulation events that are defined on the UIElement. However, the Manipulation class defines static methods that you can use to interact with manipulations.

Thanks. Nice explanation
If it's not broken, fix it until it is

Amazing what you find when you just read down the same page you posted just that little bit further
I had never heard of it either until you mentioned it.
However, noticing it was part of the Input namespace, and talked about touch etc. it kind of made sense at a high level.

It was introduced in .NET 4, if memory serves me correctly, to provide touch capabilities in WPF apps. It goes pretty much hand in hand with the touch capabilities that were added in W7. While there had been earlier touch experiments, they were out-of-band "futures" types of feature. There's a handy IsManipulationEnabled property that you can set on a UIElement that determines whether or not that element (and child elements) have touch enabled.
It's called Manipulation , rather than Touch , because it defines the operations you can perform, e.g. Rotate, based on gestures.

I actually had to look up what you're referring to... it's a bit disturbing that this guy has a history of this...

IMHO, he is sick. He does not deserve to represent a garbage bin, let alone a nation.

I'd have to agree... but he is their top scorer isn't he? Not that it justifies anything but I could see how they'd be hard pressed to just boot him off the team (even though it sure seems that's what he deserves).

He is a good player. Nothing against that. But he seems messed up in mind. You cannot trust talent over sickness.

Nothing new really; Maradona[^]. Not as bad, but Suarez is not as good as Maradona so perhaps there's a connection.

He still is a little nutty isn't he (Maradona)... as Rick James said, "cocaine's a hell of a drug"...

Well, you could put down some money on it, and a Norwegian did just that[^]. He bet 32 NOK (roughly 3£) and got 5600 NOK back (roughly 550£), as he had put money on Suarez would bite somebody during the world cup.

Good job England only booked a hotel for the first week. What a very poor show from a bunch of over-paid, under-skilled donkeys.
What on earth was Lampard doing there??? Maybe it wasn't Frank but another Lampard. I though he retired!!!
Get rid of Hodgson and the board of the FA and retire any England player currently over 21. Next world cup they'll all be in their prime instead of over the hill.
Now I will support the USA.

Someone already said that Englishmen are eyeing on 2018 edition. Do not trust them though. They say this for every next World cup.

They've actually been set a target of 2022 to win, but that was set by an idiot.
English football has been mismanaged for the last ten to twenty years and is currently that far behind the rest of the world.
I could write pages about what is wrong and what needs to be done but it wouldn't be of interest to most on here.
It isn't the fault of huge manager, or the players, and it isn't (as most in England seem to think (which is why it won't improve enough)) down to too many foreigners in the Premier League, they are a symptom of the problem, not the cause of it.
Some men are born mediocre, some men achieve mediocrity, and some men have mediocrity thrust upon them.

Blaming EPL is idiotic. That is chance to learn South American way to football. Club football has nothing to do with international games. These guys are professionals and they should understand it.
I am not a big fan of English team but I feel, they are never in same direction as rest of World. They have a decent young line up. Players like Sturridge can do good. I, for one, would get rid of Rooney ASAP. He is shite. And are you going to play Lampard forever? Really? He is done. Face it. Same applies to Gerrard.

Maybe I'll type out my thoughts in reply to this sometime when I'm on a computer rather than a tablet, won't be tomorrow as I'm back in hospital for some injections in my hip.
I've been in and around football all my life;played, coached, refereed, watched. My brother was at a professional club as a schoolboy, I know people in and around the professional game these days. I may not be right, but I do have a lot of fairly well informed ideas on the subject.
Also I am not an England supporter at all, never have been although I am English, they are simply another club that I do not support so whilst I am not impartial when it comes to football in England I am when it comes to the England football team.
Some men are born mediocre, some men achieve mediocrity, and some men have mediocrity thrust upon them.

In hindsight, Sven-Göran Eriksson wasn't that bad was he?
Actually when you consider the level of the players he had to use, he was damn good!
