You could just plainly say, "I don't know." rather than supplying them answer that even you yourself don't know if your answer is valid. Sometimes, it's better to just say you don't know than to make them believe that you know and make a mess afterwards.

I cannot appreciate Google installing whatever they want on my computer, and I do not like their stuff hiding under various appdata folders to workaround the rules that Windows imposes for normal programs installed and operating from under program files.
No, I don't want to know what is autobackup+ or whatever it is, and I am removing ALL google products from all of my computers now.

You know you can set it to only autobackup over WiFi?

I think it gets installed with Picassa - and optionally saves your photos to Google Drive.
I can see why you might be annoyed if it is uploading your photos from picassa without at least asking you first, but think you are cutting off your nose to spite your face (as my Mum was wont to say) by just uninstalling all Google products!
