I don't have children myself, just children-by-proxy: my two brothers and my sister bred, as did most of my friends. And of course there are the ones in supermarkets...

Dutch - same attitude. I managed to instil that in my kids and it seems to have propagated to the g'kids. I look forward to seeing them twice a year

The best advice I have heard from Married Couples with kids is to make sure you have a life apart from your children. Too often then marriage becomes about the kids and then when the kids leave there is no longer a reason for the marriage. Seems reasonable.

I would have liked:
- to be reminded every few months that the relationship between me and the missues is really important
- to have realised early on that it is okay to ask people for help. People are adults, and it is totally up to them to say yes or not.
- to have realised that mental health is a serious issue, and should be investigated prior to children.
- to not take things like going for a walk with your lady for granted. You may not to get to do it for a few years.
- to be told exactly how gross children are. Answer: Very.
Even though they infuriate me regularly, I really do love having the kiddlings around

I wish I had understood, when parents told me I would be "tired", that they didn't mean "tired". rather they meant sleep-deprived to the point of insanity.
I also wish I had been forced, at gunpoint if necessary, to attend a sleep clinic before The Boy(TM) was born!

Having reached 910-moons mileage on this meat-container, and not having (to my knowledge) quickened any eggs to embryo, even though I spent a lot of time going through the motions as if that was what life was really about ... what I would like to know is: why didn't I have any ?
I never said those magic words, "until diapers do us part."
Surviving a marriage after the children are born; yep, that's a psychodrama, but, how wonderful if the kids are old enough to present a ring, or take some part in the ceremony !
I've always thought it odd that people speak of "having" children, when it is clear to me that children have parents ... not the other way around.

Before I went camping, XP run 12 items update.
After surviving TX style downpour and retrurning home my XP DID NOT recognize ANY USB devices.
Turned it off and it wanted to download another "update".
After that , all USB are again recognized and working.
I feel MS needs to quit any XP "support" especially this kinds of updates NOW, immediately.
They need to work on Windoze 10.0!
