Mr Pot, I'd like to introduce you to Mr Kettle.

Did you enjoy it though?

I've been writing code for hours now.
Its 1:32 AM here and I can't sleep.
I guess my insomnia is related to just too much stress (thanks to both work and non-work related issues).
Maybe. just maybe. one day it'll all make sense.
[Update]
2:16 AM. No luck yet.
Code seems to have stopped building.
[Update 2]
2:44 AM. A flower vase in the drawing room toppled over.
Smell of dirty stale water everywhere now. Sprayed room freshener to get rid of the horrible smell.
Code still not building. Rebuild all started.
Sleep unlikely.
[Update 3]
2:46 AM. Some dogs (most probably stray ones) barking on the street down below.
Maybe I should go down and check. Anyway, at least this ghastly silence is broken.
[Update 4]
3:01 AM. I wonder if I could take a walk now. Maybe its not a very clever idea, walking around at 3.

Know the feeling. Have you tried chamomile tea? For me it works quite well

Fortunately, I don't know the feeling. I believe however, the best way to treat insomnia is to have a good night's sleep.

Nah! ...it never makes sense... get some rest, you'll think clearer.

Don't be sad. For instance, Fermi suffered from insomnia, that helped him to accomplish great discoveries.

I'm having issues sleeping as well, although mine are due to a bad cough (likely allergies). NyQuil helps me quite a bit.
public class SysAdmin : Employee
{
public override void DoWork(IWorkItem workItem)
{
if (workItem.User.Type == UserType.NoLearn){
throw new NoIWillNotFixYourComputerException(new Luser(workItem.User));
}else{
base.DoWork(workItem);
}
}

Tranquilizer dart?
When was the last time you slept?

You need to tire your body and turn off your mind.
Get some exercise during the day, not too late, and don't code or do anything else that requires concentration before going to bed.

Hmm, I'm not sure what the solution might be, but I'll sleep on it and let you know if I come up with a solution tomorrow.
(Sorry, I couldn't help myself. I'll go stand in the corner.)
Actually that happens to me from time to time. I just go play with my radios or other hobbies and don't worry about it.

Insomnia is when you can't sleep. but there is no problem in getting passed out. My suggestion is "get hammered till you pass out so that you wake up a new Man(after hangover offcourse)"

I just discovered how much I like (a) cold left-over pasta (eaten straight from the dish - no plate needed) and (b) Wonder Whole Wheat Bread. Was pleasantly surprised to find the latter has way more fiber, vitamins and minerals than the overpriced Bavarian Bavarian style whole-wheat yuppie crap I've been eating for years.

Strange, I get that Bavarian whole-wheat yuppie crap at every corner and a normal price here

Apologies for stomping on the Bavarian people - they're a fine lot and make awesome automobiles (among other things). It's just that out local supermarket chain passes off things European-like at silly prices so that idiots like me fall for their marketing scam.

No Problem at all. When I last was in America there was not much diversity in bread, sausage or beer to choose from, but that was in Texas. I have no idea what it's like in Canada, but it appears that this is slowly changing.
Try baking some real bread[^] yourself, at least if the translator delivers something useful. You will see that it's not expensive and still far better than most you can buy. That sort of bread is very hard and must be cut into very thin slices, about 1/5 inch.
