In that case, I hope no one wants it. I really want to see Dave go skip a computer across a pond. The keyboard or mouse would be easiest beyond the pesky cords. Smallest, lightest and most flat surface. Now getting an old CRT to skip, that would be a feat!

I'd love it but I ain't got room I've got a house full of elderly electronics now. Something like that is getting towards the "vintage" category, Might actually be worth some
money.
If it does have to go in the skip though I'd love that 5.25" drive they are like hen's teeth nowadays. (more than happy to pay the shipping)

Cheers Dave been trying to get one for a while. I found loads of my old projects from years back that I'd like to transcribe but they're all on 5.25". Remember when floppies really were floppy?

Awesome Ravi thanks as I believe that the 5.25 disk will make a big comeback
in Windows 8 and I want to stock up now.

Actually 8" Bernoullis are going to make a bigger comeback. That's why they call it Windows 8.

Nope. With floppies I always piled them up upside down (so disk one was at the top) and took the top one off next. The used one went on a separate pile, face up.
That's a stack to me! Or two stacks if you are being picky

Good point probably not. But I recently came across a great pile of 'em that I'd like to archive only problem is finding something to read 'em. It's a bit like people who collect 78 Records I guess.
It was interesting to find out that not only does my Machine which is only about 18 Months old still support 5.25" drives but so (Apparently) does Windows 7.
I should be able to put the whole lot on a USB pen drive with room to spare if the 5.25" doesn't drive me mad (or deaf) doing it

More like 8-tracks. I used to have a friend that collected lps, tapes, posters
and such and he said they are hard as hell to find.

Now that surprises me I would of thought that something that out-dated
would no longer be supported?

Have a look at this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SDrq3BVNxm4[^]
And the Bios supports 'em too I just checked
As for 8 Tracks don't get me started on that one I had to fix one a few years back I ended up having to machine a part for on my lathe (I'm into Model Steam Engines too)
