I received the printer[^] on Saturday.
It took me a while to build, because I put it together wrong once or twice. 
Here's what it looks like[^].
Power Supply Wrong Voltage
Also, once I got it built, I plugged it in and it didn't do anything. Nothing. I examined the power supply and noticed it was set for 230V (European standard) instead of US. I slid the switch to the correct location and all was well.
First Print
I printed an item from Thingaverse -- a chip clip[^].
Here's what mine looked like:
1. Top side view[^].
2. Bottom side view[^].
Yes, there is a problem. That is not supposed to be connected like that on the bottom.
Oh, Elephant!
I learned a new term : Elephant foot.
That's what this problem is called.
Learned that after posting this as a 3D Printing StackExchange question[^].
Now, I will try to solve that. Any suggestions?

Raise nozzle...z-axis.
You're printing too low.
I used to get it a lot with PETG
The less you need, the more you have.
Even a blind squirrel gets a nut...occasionally.

Thanks for the info. I will try it. I did the deal with "paper-leveling" and didn't think I was too close, but then I got this elephant foot deal. I will raise and try again.

Don't hurry too much - grinding stuff down generates heat which can melt your material and make the situation worse. Slow and easy is the way to go!

To anyone who see this I have a 3D Printer issue, I have paper leveled correctly but the print dissapears and does not bond on the left side of the print bead despite test prints coming out correct any ideas?

I am Retiring, effective Sept 17th.

1) Can't Afford it. A lifetime minimalist, always living well within my means and a good pile of savings available AND multiple other income streams (Pensions, soc Sec, tax-exempt bond interest) for myself and the Mrs.
)2 Die of boredom: there are other factors at play which I'll mention at a later time.

I am in the same situation as you. I would die of boredom first, before they throw me in debtor's prison. 
It's hell getting old.

I retired about 12 years ago. I've never been so busy as I have been this last decade! Learning new programming skills, writing complex aps, C# and JavaFX (Windows) Java and Kotlin (Android), etc. etc.
Why do it? Because it's there, waiting to be conquered.
Get me coffee and no one gets hurt!
