Time to spruce the house up, with some tree-mendous decorations – fir sure!
TotD will be shutting down for a few days - probably* - and reappear on or before the 7th Jan. Probably.
This is Wales. Where you do still hear shop conversations like:
"When are you shtting for Christmas?"
"Well, I've still got half a dozen of these left, so if they sell today, then today. Otherwise, could be next week."
"And when are you reopening?"
"Oh. ... Um. ... January.
...
Probably."

Is that why people hate everything from the prequels onward?
I haven't seen it yet myself, but despite that, I can also say I like it a lot--but that's only because it means they're finally putting that thing to rest.

I don't like episodes 1 or 2 - I think they were just crappy movies. Episode 3 wasn't too god-awful bad. Of course, the latest movies are better in terms of special effects, but the CGI replacement characters still creep me out a little.

+1 Possibly one of the more honest reviews out there. 42 years is quite an amazing history. (not the word I was looking for, but the nog. It's strong this year).

What drove me nuts was the almost 30 minutes of commercials. Showtime was 4:45 PM, the movie didn't actually start until 5:15 PM. I will never go to a Regal Cinemas showing again.

At which point my popcorn and soda are history, and I'm quickly approaching second stage of REM sleep. I agree with you though, start times should be the actual start times.

It has given my son and I plenty about which to argue. We do agree that it should have been split into two movies. I feel that there are some scenes which seemed rushed and incomplete -- maybe the blu-ray will have them expanded.
However, there is only one Star Wars and it was released in 1977.
