Previous versioning system were zip files and changelogs smacked onto a file server. I briefly used SVN for a customer like 3 months ago.
Here we use Git with git flow, I finally managed to learn how to use it and with the gods blessing I won't turn back anytime soon.

Given a choice, what would voodoo? Moonie would tend to agree with you.
Sometimes, I confess, they could give you an adventage over others.
Pray that you don't end up in that situation.

Do you prefer cats or dogs?
Answers only count if you actually have a cat and/or dog yourself. Just watching cat videos or cute dog videos, etc. on YouTube doesn't count. Just remember, dogs have owners, cats have staff.
Full disclosure - I have a dog currently, but have had both in the past - simultaneously!
I will update this list occasionally as responses come in.
Current cat owners: 11
Past cat owners: 5
Current dog owners: 14
Past dog owners: 7
Future dog owners: 2
Others:
* Llama (unsubstantiated)
* Coffee Bean (unroasted - not a flying toy!)
* Ex-pig (no further explanation required)
* Assorted rodents
* Snakes
* Rock

Nope, a packet marked "Tesco"
I made it a little collar, and a bed, and ...

Cats. Independent rather than fawning, generally helpful with their wastes instead of "here'll do", don't eat noxious substances then lick your face, ...
Don't get me wrong; I like dogs - my neighbour calls me "The Dog Whisperer" because his dogs do whatever I want them to, and ignore every command he gives them - just I like them like children: fine as long as you can give them back.

I've got 4 dogs and 1 cat. I like both, but I must admit that I prefer the cat. He's an outdoor cat and earns his stay by getting rid of the rodents around the house. The dogs, well they're cute, but really provide no service whatsoever other than being a blanket for the Mrs. at home.

I have a dog, while I like cats, dogs are just better for me, and are pretty much the only reason I get any exercise at all.

A previous neighbour had an Afghan who had a tendency to wander off. So he fitted a gate on the path. The dog was big enough to walk over it without problems but it was just a gate - no fence either side, he could have walked round it at any time.
He told me the dog was too thick to think of either - and he was right, Rufus just couldn't get out unless somebody opened the gate.
Cats? I'm pretty sure they have invented teleporters ...

I had a similar experience with one of my dogs, not even trying to open an unlocked gate. Cats are way smarter.

Cats in general, and some dogs.
I'd like to have a nice cat robot that behaves like a real cat; pretty much ignores me except when time for feeding/charging.

Cats, but, not by a large margin. Have one cat now. Had a border collie while I was growing up, but, neither my wife nor I can be home during the day, so a puppy is right out.

I've been owned by cats in the past but I'm looking forward to getting a dog when I retire, possibly with added cat or cats for additional stress.
I'm not sure how that counts in the voting.

previous cat owner, sadly move overseas forced it to be adopted away.
prefer cats, way less work,
getting to be a nuisance then chuck em outside (close the door/window they climb in through)
always give cats a way to go outside (it's unnatural not to do so) - bonus: they walk themselves
