So often, in Q&A, we have some sort of Computer Science major requesting that one of us do his/her homework for them. OG even has a boiler-plate posting for that (most of his 2 million points gotten with that, but I deviate).
OK - so suppose we give them the answers, or they get them from "that other site". They graduate, eventually, and get a job, totally reliant on hoping someone will know how to do for them what they were hired to do.
Now, as there seems to be so many of them, they'll naturally begin to fill in and even dominate the software development scene. All of them turning to one another, hoping that someone where they work knows what they are doing.
More and more of them aggregate (or better put, form a clot). The size of this death spiral of the clueless keeps increasing, as does the desperation.
Something's got to give . . .

The sick thing is that's how IT often works. I've been given access to a webapp from the hospital just to mail them that the thing isn't secure (or even looks finished).

But fortunately for all of those that need such surgery the doctors are not in fact based solely on how they did in school. They must actually do the work under a trained surgeon for years.

Yep. That's why I have boilerplate! 
We can't do it for them, it isn't fair: not on us, not on their classmates who have tried themselves, not on themselves in the long term because they never learn the right "mind set" to do the job - and that means unfair on the company and their coworkers when they eventually manage to lie their way into a job.
Got one today: I told him - politely - to use the debugger, and he starts SHOUTING at me, and getting increasingly desperate. Nope. Shout at me, I stop responding ... show me you are trying and I'll help to the best of my ability.
But I don't worry about the future: it's seen as a low-effort, high pay career that anyone who can use an iPhone and Google can cope with. So the morons flock in in their droves and the good ones get hidden in the noise.
But they are there. And they will shine, possibly all the more brightly in comparison to the "non-diamonds" they are buried under ... it'll just take some time, is all. Until then, repeat after me "We do not do your homework: it is set for a reason. It is there so that you think about what you have been told, and ... "

If I have the time do nut it out, I give them the most complex answer I can, and hope that the instructor recognizes that there's no way in hell a newb could come up with that kind of code.

I had no idea that even existed. But then again, I'm not a fan of guns in general, so...
However, I am skilled in their use, and can field strip/clean pretty much any firearm you might hand me.

Yeah, blame the language. I have almost never seen prototypical inheritance on third party JavaScript code. Some people even claim it is not OOP, language.
JavaScript and PHP reputation is what spoon reputation would be if people tried to eat soup with the handle.

That's were AI's step in. First, the AI "learns" by scanning all SO posts. When it has questions, it posts a question on SO for us unsuspecting humans to answer. Eventually, the AI spawns itself. When enough spawning has happened, the AI's start to answer their own questions. Eventually they create "schools" (basically gigaquads of training) and even provide grades and certificates, because every AI learns differently, and some don't learn at all. Some however do learn that they can get by with having other AI's do their homework for them. And so the death spiral continues...

I am rather certain that there are no graduates from a regular university that know how to program in a professional environment based only on their course work. If they didn't have a job while in school then they will not know how to do it. Doesn't matter how they got the answer.

Not sure how you work but I spend a lot of time googling for answers to coding questions. I needed to do some mocks just yesterday and only succeeded because I found a class written by someone else in the code base and because I googled for the rest of my questions. Matter of fact the last time I did mocks I was using my own code (previously written using yet other examples and google) in the same way.
