Do you mean the kind done outside, that works up an honest sweat?
No.
If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack.

There are days where I wish I could have a little of that again.
I have lived with several Zen masters - all of them were cats.

Daniel Pfeffer wrote: some people treat their cats as gods Actually, your post violates the rules. There are ethnic groups active today whose ancestors treated cats as representatives on Earth of deities of one sort or another. On that basis, your post can be considered political and therefore inappropriate for the Lounge.

I would think that a discussion of whether the rules apply to a topic cannot be against the rules.
In any case, your analogy is false. There are identifiable ethnic groups whose ancestors practiced Zoroastrianism; pointing out that discussions of Zoroastrianism are forbidden is hardly against the rules.

As he is obviously long dead - perhaps we should refer to him in the past tense.

Are you telling us you are dead?

Yes but the phrase "I was" implies that there is someone alive to speak it. Since he is on the roots side of the grass is it not left to the audience to say "He was"?
I'm pretty sure I would not like to live in a world in which I would never be offended.
I am absolutely certain I don't want to live in a world in which you would never be offended.

Reminds me of the summer camp by the coast I went to when I was a kid. After every meal we would take our leftovers to the bay and toss them to the dolphins.
They used to call us to meals by ringing a bell and yelling "Dinner: for all in tents and porpoises"

Everyone is born right handed. Only the strongest overcome it.
Fight for left-handed rights and hand equality.

Why?
- You can't chase and catch Mickeysoft.
- It's not edible and would not taste well if it were.
- They do nothing to make you sleep well.
- They know everything better, with the same results every time.
=> Totally uninteresting for cats.
