I detest marketing morons because they're so bad at what they do.
They talk about themselves as though they're great persuaders, with silver tongues, who can make customers buy stuff that they don't want; but mainly they're just morons who have no idea how to use words/psychology to convince anyone to do anything, they're just incessant, persistent, un-get-rid-of-able nags, who cling to customers' backs like a sleep-paralysis hag until they sign the bare minimum.
The only thing they seem to be even remotely capable of talking up is themselves.
There are far, far, better ways of doing what they do, and I've lost years of my own lifetime teaching them to do it better (with marked results), only to see them almost immediately fall back into their moronic ways.
Speaking generically, don't waste your time on the bloody morons. Your time is better spent associating with people who have brains in their skulls.

It seems to be a bit like Quora, but with a "matching" service, theoretically to find people with similar interests or that can be an adviser.

The level rating for marketing executives is scored as 1/level for intelligence and wisdom (hence, the higher you rise, the dumber you become) however their armor class is a multiplier of their level and the corporate share value.

I use it for some of my databases ... as a sort of a backup ... and for performance testing less-than-ideal DB connection speeds

Since you mentioned it had gone up, I went and checked mine and 1 of them has gone up slightly
I have got 1 x 40GBP and 1x 35GBP monthly credits, I use one of them for hosting all my DNS related stuff for my domains. that costs about $2 a month or something like that.
Should really put it to use as well.........

When it comes to deployment you end up in a world of broken links, misnamed redist files etc.
I can improve the core speed of my C#/WPF app by 3x using some C++ calls to intrinsics (mostly popcnt) but when it comes to deployment it's an absolute nightmare.

Even worse: Whenever they suddently lose interest in something and head in another direction, Mickeysoft deliberately throws any obstacle in your way theat comes in handy. That usually happens after yet another failed OS and the obstacles are there to usher you in the new direction of the week too.

yes they seem to want to bury it.... but it is relatively straightforward to use and deploy.
the only hassle I had was supporting both 32bit and 64bit. Hence when I used it (many yers ago) I went 32 bits executable only...

I am only using x86 - all worked fine in VS 2010 - now in VS 2015 it doesn't deploy at all - all the links Microsoft provide in their error messages and documentation are broken. The vcredist file you can download is misnamed and doesn't deploy anyway and I am getting public key issues.
I have these issues a lot and have decided it is time to scrap C++ - it's far too much bother at the deployment stage - I hate deployment at the best of times.

WDM hardly gets a meniton in new technology, its all WDF. Soon the raw API docs will get pulled I expect.
