The author could have mentioned Wayne Ratliff - Wikipedia[^] of dBase fame and Briklin and Frankston who created VisiCalc VisiCalc - Wikipedia[^] .
While I do agree with Marc Clifton's comments this article reminds us of a time where great steps forward were achieved by single individuals with a vision. Narcissists maybe but clever and motivated also. Ever since then I have had great respect for the adage "If it takes 1 programmer 1 year it will take 100 programmers 100 years".

For two hours now, I've been trying to upload a video to Instagram.
My Android phone doesn't do sh*t! I select the video from the archive and click "Next", and NOTHING happens! Several times!
I've been searching for ALL kinds of solutions to upload it from my Desktop computer, but to no avail! I've tried Gramblr, Blueballs and a doxen of other "services"
WHY! OH WHY! Does it have to be so flucking complicated? It's a simple enough request?!?!?
