A very common misconception among theists. We don't hate any god. You can't hate what doesn't exist.

If you want to know what an atheist is, ask them. Don't listen to the person preaching in the religious building of your choice. They have a vested interest in putting down and slandering the movement community.

Too often the news only reports the weirdness and so if you never take the time to get to know other people you'll judge an entire religion/race/gender/etc on what the stupid media tells you to believe.

Atheists caught up in the physical aspects only (proving God exists with science), which misses the point.
Poetic and spiritual meanings escape them. Believing in God is about healthy relationships, with God and other people. It's about being a good person.
Saying "science cannot prove an invisible man in the sky" indicates much deeper issues with them. It is no secret why such unflattering and antisocial stereotypes follow the atheist community.
It is the adult version symptoms in child including "focuses on small parts instead of the toy, cannot play with others"

That's absolute nonsense.
"I believe in some deity, therefore I am mentally and psychologically superior to those who don't" really doesn't wash -- especially given that the most spiritual and poetic people I know (and I know a lot of writers and poets) believe that there is no deity.

Again, you have some misconceptions.
We're not trying to prove (or disprove) God at all. Theists are, and failing miserably at it. We just ask the questions.
The whole thing comes down to this. If you're going to try to make laws and force everyone else to live by what YOU perceive as Gods word, YOU better bring some damn good evidence to the table for proving it is indeed Gods word and not mans. That's where the theists fall flat on their face. In order to prove it is Gods word, you first have to prove there is a God. Then you have to prove those words came from God.
