I had a cow-orker who was dazzled by the marketing lies in phb-times and thought it would be a good replacement for outlook/exchange. Fortunately he had no authority to make such a change, and it was useful to know about his low baffle with BS threshold early on.

I've heard the IS dudes are trying something a little more permanent than that. They're opening a wormhole from the server room to a location close to Sagittarius_A*[^], a few nanometers above the event horizon.
We're hoping that won't let any of the icky stuff escape.

When Hawking made this announcement many other astronomers were rather dumbfounded.
There is an interesting documentary on this somewhere on youtube.
It turned out that Hawking said that information was not lost however he did not describe and prove the mechanism that allowed the information leave the event horizon.
This was what left the other astronomers dumbfounded - a statement was made but little proof was made to back it up.
Those theoretical physisists tsk tsk (as though I understand any of it!)

Oh, it's a bit better than that. Our 'legacy' product line is C++/MFC and maintained faithfully using Visual Studio .NET (2003). Our current product line is being developed with Visual Studio 2008.
Sadly, we still use Visual SourceSafe... we're not up with the cool kids and using git .

I wasn't sure about the crypt bit, but I liked that it was computery so chucked it in anyway.
