I am honestly not sure that it is that useful. On the opposite : At least, you do not see down : it can only help

I agree.
But you can read the first version and it's considered valid by some. And if quality media start slipping standards (especially in a world where everything they submit is written on a computer, edited on a computer, and printed by a computer so there is no damn excuse for such mistakes to get through) then the first version is what you get very quickly - look at the kind of cr@p that gets posted on "yoof" sites, and that's pretty normal!
