Funny how the word "milliard" (or a direct translation thereof) exists in every western language, including English, but is not used in one relatively minor dialect of English.

Far and away more people use proper English, rather than the Merkin dialect.
The point with "milliard" and "billion", though, is that if you use "milliard", rather than use "billion" improperly, you cannot be misunderstood.

I don't care if it is a billon or a trillion. Could you just send me that many (whatever it is) US dollars? I think I'd be ok then and could handle watching the light pulse in the laser all day long and not spend my days trying to outsmart SQL Server!

Have gone back to using Internet Explorer after dumping it 5 years ago for Firefox. I am loving it ! It goes without saying IE 10 is the best browser around at the moment.
