It's tempting to suggest that I should be entered as an act for Eurovision next year: with my negative singing abilities future events would be cancelled forthwith just in case I was entered again...

Because it had been organised by the European Broadcasting Union whose television network it was to be broadcast on was nicknamed Eurovision.

This is great ! 
The crayons of my kids have a much tougher life, sooner or later they end up smashed on the ground or inadvertently stepped on. Which also mean a 30min cleaning of the floor, the pigments are quite good in these.

TBH Crayola are quite good and are 'non-stain'; for a given value of stain.

I meant Crayola. Try and step on a pink-fushia-mauve-prune-whatever-the-name piece of crayola on a floor tile, the small pigments fill out the porosities of the tile, and this one hell of a cleaning.

If it's a real tile floor, then try Acetone: 100% if you can get it, nail varnish remover if you can't. It's a very good degreaser and my DefCon 4 of greasy-nasty removal. Trichloroethane is DefCon 1 since it was banned twenty years or so ago, just because it's narcotic and can destroy your liver... My small bottle is used sparingly, since I can't replace it.
