Where's the best place to look for contractor roles? Doesn't seem to be much on Dice or Monster for LA/SF Valley.

I don't know about the current situation. But when I was in the USA 1.5 years back. The highest number of job requirements I would receive are from Dallas, New York, Boston, Houston, Chicago (In that order). And only a few from LA/SA (These are basically locations for Startups and Chip-based companies).

When I had my profile active on Dice a couple of months ago, I received plenty of offers for contract positions in LA (Orange county mostly) and SF (Silicon valley).
However, most of those recruiters would call me up without sending an email first, which annoyed me because a lot of the positions were not in line with my skills.
One recruiter from an agency in Atlanta was very eager to get on with the paper work and wanted me to send all kinds of personal information...he is still waiting.

I downloaded and installed VS2013.
I like offline help I would like to download it.
Things is I got 3 dev machine! I would like to download the help file as a DVD / .iso and deploy it on each machine! (instead of downloading 3 times from the help>manage screen)
Unfortunately, can't find how to download the help!
Any links please?

Takes you to a page where you can download it!! ^^ (For VS2012? hopefully it's the same...)

Unfortunately, I think MSDN no longer has help ISOs to download. VS2012 has an 'Order Help On DVD' option in the help menu, but I think that's about it. (I have never used that option).
EDIT: I just found the VS2012 help in the MS Download Center, but there is not a VS2013 help download.

There has always been an option to install Help during the VS setup from "ISO". The ISO, by the way, has to burned to disk before any setup can take place.

Wish someone told Microsoft
Can't think it, but I've tried a some futile approaches to obtaining a non-eval version of 8.1 that was "just released" in the Windows Store.
This link[^] has an "Update now" button, that does nothing other than open my metro style Windows Store on whatever page I last had it open. Can't find it under updates. Can't find it under apps.
Anyone else having any luck?
EDIT: After updating windows the link mentioned above worked, but I ended up downloading the MSDN version anyway (for redistribution purposes)

Could it be the download is so popular with their customers that the amount of people downloading have broken the server / link? Who would of thought people wanted a start button!

Apparently there's two main reasons if it doesn't show in the store:
1. You're missing a prerequisite update.
2. Your using a version of Win8 that is either:
a) Enterprise
b) Pro, installed by using KMS activation
c) Installed using an MSDN ISO
In which case I believe you need the ISO for 8.1 to update.
