Right now i am following some kind of Sequential Eating. It basically means to not mix the main food groups. I still eat meat or animal products but not together. I must say my stomach was never happier.

I just wanted to tell you that thanks to that recipe i decided to make pasta bolognese(not the original recipe but still very close) and to that i added Merlot.
It wasn't ready for 15 minutes but it was worth it even made by so inexperienced cook like me.
Thank you for the inspiration.

I also got myself a chocolate set - bain marie and moulds for making chocolate sweeties.
But I guess that doesn't interest you.

[half serious response]
Dead easy - 125g butter, 150g caster sugar, 150g flour, 1 egg, 1/2 teaspoon baking powder and a pinch of salt. Mix until blended and then add whatever flavouring you require. I often just add some vanilla, cinnamon and lots of outmeal. For chocolate chip, replace 25g flour with good cocoa powder and then stir in around 100g chocolate chips; or more if your initials are AP. Spoon the mixture onto a baking sheet, leaving room to spread and cook for 15-20 minutes at 180°C. Cool on a wire rack. TBH the cooling is purely optional and I normally make triple quantity to allow for 'wastage' during the cooking process...

I can't make Chocolate Chip Cookies ... they always end up just being Cookies!

Hence the over compensation of extra cookies. With triple quantities, the first batch barely gets out of the oven, maybe 1/3 of the second lot survives and the final batch should be good to go.
Though I once made a large tray of brownies, NOT ONE SURVIVED AN HOUR.

Cooking is a great stress relief. Baking is doubly so. Posers stay away from the kitchen pretending to be macho, real men embrace it.

Awww it's a baby mixer.
If you're going to buy one, you should've gone for: MOAR POWAR! Amazon has the next size up[^] with 50% more power than its predecessor[^] for only 20% more. My Mom's had the beast for a half dozen years now; as a bonus it's heavy enough that lifting it from storage to the counter where your wife will use it is good exercise for carrying multiple cases of gin at once.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

That's a great deal! I paid $229US for mine, on sale, but it didn't come with the ice cream maker ($99) or the pasta set (~$400).
I'm waiting for the ice cream maker to go on sale, and I can live without the pasta attachments, but I really want the slicer/shredder unit.

One word of warning; when mixing dough, be careful not to make it too stiff--they use nylon gears which strip. Found that out the hard way. (The ex got ours in the divorce. I now mix my pizza dough by hand, which is how I did it before we got the thing. Problem is that good dough needs to be stiff and that can get tiring.)

"What Turing gave us for the first time (and without Turing you just couldn't do any of this) is he gave us a way of thinking about and taking seriously and thinking in a disciplined way about phenomena that have, as I like to say, trillions of moving parts.
Until the late 20th century, nobody knew how to take seriously a machine with a trillion moving parts. It's just mind-boggling." Daniel C. Dennett
