JAMBINAI - ONDA[^]
This week's SOTW comes from @PaltryProgrammer.
Jambinai is a Korean post-rock band and this song is named ONDA from the album of the same name, which means "come" or "coming" (as he explains in the video).
I don't know NPR music, but apparently they have regular video's and this one was recorded at home during the pandemic.
The video's description says it all "At its heart, JAMBINAI's music mixes elements of metal, noise and Korean tradition. There's full-on distorted guitar, bass and drums, but also a haegeum (a fiddle-like instrument), a piri (a type of flute), a taepyeongso (a reed instrument) and a most appropriately named instrument, a geomungo (a giant Korean zither). We also hear some delicate vocals in the mix."
I've never seen some of the instruments they use, so that's pretty cool.
And it sounds great too, although you might want to skip the first four minutes as that's really the prelude (and explanation) to the actual song.

Okay, so lets get music & instruments from two different cultures.
Then smash 'em, bash em & mash 'em together. Then solder 'em, weld 'em and gaffer tape 'em to hold them together.
What do you get? A freakin' good sound.
My two cents, don't skip the first four minutes.

Sex does unblock nose though, it also reduces cough for a while. Maybe that research will formalize respiration exercises to be used to unblock the nose without resorting to medicine?
As for beard protecting face, heh, nope, not enough, been there done that. Though it did protect me from glass shards when a punk hit my windshield with brass knuckles. Between beard and glasses I managed to get away with only a couple of cuts.
