Actually, maybe the question should be why the others aren't capitalized.
They're in place of proper name which are always capitalized. It actually is done (in religious literature) if one is referring to deity - at least one that the write believes in.
Using 'i' simply leads us to think you spend all our time texting and tweeting . . . nothing to worry about.

So you can confuse people. I or l or 1? (in certain fonts, of course)

I just realised that if i start using lowercase "L" or "1" then l (or 1) can save a lot of pressing the shift key!

Because when people refer to themselves with "i" on the Interwebs, they sound stupid.
But if you want to complain about capitalising words, have go at the Germans!

I just had a thought. If we started using "i" instead of "I" then that is like a little body with a head on it. Then Zaphod Beeblebrox could use "ï".

It came from a printers convention: when Caxton started off his presses, 'i' was tiny, and easy to miss, so it was capitalized (as the first letter of the first word of a sentence was by then) to make it easier to see.
And printers are a fusty mob: they don't like change, so when they get an idea, it's very hard to get them to let go ...

Being curious, I had to google that.
Why Do We Capitalize I? - Everything After Z by Dictionary.com[^]
> At first, the new word, i, was left lowercase. However, it began to grow taller than other words. It grew for a silly reason: a single letter looks bad. Look at it: i. How sad. By the time Chaucer wrote The Canterbury Tales in the late 1300s, I, the personal pronoun, was slightly taller than its lowercase equivalent. From that point on, it was typically capitalized.

"DenyAccess" = "Allow"
"DenyAccess" = "Deny"
When I read "DenyAccess=Allow", I tend to think of it as "Allow denying the access", which means to deny/block.
This naming convention is always confusing. I see it right from DB to Networking UIs.
That "Deny" key should not be part of the attribute name.
May be it can be some 'X'Access, based on the context.
