My current phone is a BLU phone. It was $110 shipped from Amazon. While it isn't the fastest (and I often curse the speed), it does almost everything the S7 does and if it breaks, I can buy another before I come close to the price of the high end ones.
While there are drawbacks, they have features that many other phones don't offer. You can put in 2 sim cards (no need to 2 devices if work requires you to have one). Generally great battery life. Cheap isn't always bad.

I have an LG Stylo a similar price and it is near enough without the price tag!

DOOL - Oweynagat[^]
This week is the new rock sensation from the Netherlands!
With members from the (also Dutch bands) The Devil's Blood and Gold and lady(?) Elle Bandita on the mic this all-star band is quickly gaining a following in the Dutch rock scene.
And rightfully so!
I could've seen them live last weekend, but I had already made other plans
I'll probably get a chance to see them live again.
Anyway, enjoy

I'm new to tablets (as user) and just found something disturbing...
Charged the tablet fully on Tuesday, used it to install an application I wanted to use today (writing article outline while waiting), closed the tablet, but found the battery dead cold when tried to turn table on today...
Any experience with these toys?

What make/model?
I have never had any problem with that. Do you leave an app running in the background, playing video etc. and it used up the battery. If it is an Android you can see which app is consuming all the power.

It is a Lenovo IdeaPad A1107...
Id o not use it for nothing. No games no videos...
Just got it a few months back, and this is the first time I found it - maybe - useful for something...
So charged it and installed the app I wanted to use. After that I made a shut-down (long press on the top button and confirm shut-down dialog)

If in The Canterbury Tales they could use double-negative to emphasize the negativity I certainly can do the same...

You think you have the litterary capacities of Chaucer?
What are you doing here then?
Anything that is unrelated to elephants is irrelephant Anonymous
- The problem with quotes on the internet is that you can never tell if they're genuine Winston Churchill, 1944
- I'd just like a chance to prove that money can't make me happy. Me, all the time

I must say I hate it when people think repeating exclamation marks will help in any way. I usually don't do that.

Depends on the tablet, depends on the OS.
The WookieTab under Win10 goes into Sleep mode when I shut it (with the KB attached), press the power button, or do nothing with it for a few minutes. So it disables the WiFi, slows the CPU to a crawl, and does pretty much nothing except monitor the power button / KB Open latch magnet.
But an Android Tablet doesn't - it turns off the display, but keeps everything else running - checking the email every 15 minutes, looking for updates every 10 seconds if there is an Adobe product installed, you know the kind of thing.
So an Android tablet with the power button pushed still uses a fair amount of power, and this can flatten the battery. If you hold the power button, it brings up a "power off" option, which does exactly what it says on the tin.
What type of tablet are we talking?
Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay...

As much as I know I did shut it down - not just left it there... (see my comment above)
