Well, I located the User Voice area, did a quick search. People have been asking for this for years.

The old fashioned (and smallest) man pees backwards like a lion, perhaps. (12)

My cat tends to do it a lot. Stands up and wees backwards. It can be a sign of crystals in the bladder, but not in his case. (I suspect he thinks he's human and has seen me wee standing up). (too much information? ) Anyway we now have to surround his litter tray with others stood on end to stop him weeing up the wall. On the plus side, as it just gets caught in the tray, we save on litter. On the down side, it doesn't smell great.

Maybe you cat really is human. Didn't consider that, huh?

That would make sense. Griff's cat keeps posting all kinds of stuff here.

I've just finished reading Night's Dawn[^] trilogy (The Reality Dysfunction, The Neutronium Alchemist, and The Naked God) by Peter F. Hamilton.
Wow.
I had read the first two books before years apart, but had never read the conclusion nor the entire trilogy in one go. If you like long science fiction works with interleaved plot lines and multiple themes, yet is still accessible (Theodore Dreiser this ain't), this is one for you to look at.

I didn't like the ending. The author painted himself into a corner, and then had to pull out a deus ex machina to wrap everything up. Not good technique.
Freedom is the freedom to say that two plus two make four. If that is granted, all else follows.

Yeah, I caught that too. I've read a lot of his other works, and Hamilton seems to deliberately avoid surprise (or at least unexpected) endings, something we've come to expect from science fiction authors.
I've read a few who write high-tension endings that ruin the story. They violate one of the plot elements in some way or do something unreasonable with a main character.
Hamilton at least doesn't fall into that sort of thing, so I mind the flat, easy ending a lot less. FWIW, I did enjoy getting there.

I wish I had the occasion and time to read your suggestion May I recommend a series if you do not already know of it by David Wingrove i.e. Chung Kuo It is a mere eight volume set I read it eagerly but of course as I have noticed here tastes are a matter of taste I am surprised no major studio made a video series of it I suppose there are many such which should probably be a video series as your suggestion also no doubt May I also bring to your attention Star Wars Radio Drama again if you do not previously know of it It was broadcast on NPR in 1980 or thereabouts I was fortunate to hear upon it It is a twelve or so episode reenactment of the first film w/ extra scenes and w/ sound effects not merely a reading of the text I was transfixed with each episode It is still available but only for purchase for more than a few pennies - Cheerio PS Please permit me to list my favorite stories which I have each read multiple times i.e. Forever War - Joe Haldeman The Right Stuff - Tom Wolfe The Princess Bride - William Goldman In regards same I consider the telling of the duel atop the Cliffs of Insanity to be the reason the English language was invented Also the telling of the fabrication of the six fingered sword was riveting

The PS5!
It got available two weeks ago, a pre-order for October, 15.
A friend pointed it out to me and I rushed over to the shop expecting it to be sold out again.
Luckily for me, they only sold it with an extra controller and three games (Ghost of Tsushima, Spider-Man Miles Morales and Ratchet and Clank), making the price quite high.
I got it, my friend got it and a third friend got it.
We have a weekly game night of Outriders, and with all three of us on PS5 the loading times will drop from over 40 seconds to about 4 seconds, that's an extra game a night
Not that I'm playing right now... (although I did start NieR: Replicant ver 1.something, had ridiculous loading times on PS4 so I waited to play it on PS5.)
Someone decided it was a great idea to import millions of records directly into our production environment without doing so much as a single test run.
