The summer Olympics will soon be held in Paris. The government has spent $1.5B cleaning up the Seine so that it can be used for aquatic events. Macron and the mayor of Paris have promised to swim in the river to prove its cleanliness. Therefore, a mass "Defecate in the Seine" event is being organized. Apparently it's going swimmingly.

Perhaps the government should not have made public the amount spent in this.

"Vive la France!"
Bear with me here.
Having 4 USARMY soldiers and at least two Marines (all who are not IT and have gone outside the wire, well the 3rd son jumps out of planes - name your altitude) in the family, the French used to be despised or at least disparaged in this household. As for the # of people who have served or are serving, I have lost count. I have an extensive extended family, I quit facebook, I don't do X, and I don't do Instagram, so I have lost count of the great grand children, but I have a lock on the grand kids, so I count them as well.
That said, I came across this letter when two of my sons were in heavy combat: https://www.reddit.com/r/Military/comments/1wbyiq/american_troops_as_seen_by_a_french_soldier_a/[^]
I don't think this is false, I'm sure "snopes" will disparage it, but I want it to be real. My judgement of the French went up about 10000%. you are pissy, snobbish, down right annoying (I could be describing Americans or drunk British soccer fans - I'm on a roll this morning) but any country that has citizens doing this - hat's off. I also like farmers that revolt. Oh A, Canadian truckers too .
I don't like government as you can tell. we still have crap we're tearing down in Atlanta from 1996. You Frogs, keep it up
