to the tune of: [^]
that's swamp gas as in "methane" ... arising from the festering egos of tech-titans fermenting under layers of over-valued stock-options ... that ...
spontaneously ignites as the horde of symbiotic, sycophantic, tech media-flacks, dazzled by video cards they can't afford, and promises of perks, spew torrents of hype ... which is consumed by a species of pig named "influencers," and, then, regurgitated into the open, expectant, mouths of social-media-wanna-be digerati.
the shimmering, translucent, flames burn all the 1's in the bytes, and they fall, pathetic, null, becoming slightly stinky coprolites in nanoseconds.
don't ask me how i really feel.

What did swamp gas ever do to you?
Freedom is the freedom to say that two plus two make four. If that is granted, all else follows.

My sister told me to begin investing in companies that are working on META because she believes the hype.
I was able to see through it all, however.

Invest with her money and get out as soon as it peaks. Keep the profits and give her portion back. If enough fools get on, it will go up. And there are a lot of fools out there.

Given the impossibly-high valuations given to start-up companies ... that don't have any non-fungible IP or products ... by VC's ... I can see the temptation.

I used to drive through Shipton Bellinger and past Bulford Camp on my way to work.

Fonthill Gifford and Maiden Bradley are both in Wiltshire - they are both just off the A303 which goes past Stonehenge.

I created a data collector and configured it to run for 2 hours. After hour and 30 minutes, I stop it and I see "generating report" and then poof everything is gone. I see a menu item to show latest report and it tells me invalid parameter. Is this the way it works?

I could if there was any etl file in the folder. Surprisingly, there is nothing. At all. It is strange since there was data and UI of perfmon did show "generating report" and then while generating report, looks like everything was deleted.

Enigmatic = definition
stew = anagram indication
is a gumbo and the final item in menu
ambiguous

What country/person has the best national anthem?
In my opinion...
I'm American but I like it
And earlier I was trying to work on an Object-Oriented Program, and I forgot to build the constructor.

There's some interesting history to this anthem. It was the Soviet anthem until the USSR broke up, after which Russia adopted a new one. Eventually Putin got it reinstated. It's a great piece, but some Russians didn't like the history that the music evokes.
It originally had lyrics lauding Stalin, who fell out of favor after his death, so the lyrics were no longer used. Soviet citizens referred to it as "the song without words".
However, lyrics were eventually reintroduced--by a Canadian. You can read about how it came about here[^]. That was still in the days of the USSR, though, and the lyrics are different now. But that first performance with lyrics in 20 years can be heard here[^].

Another footnote.
In Sweden it's a drinking song. With a different text obviously.

Hasn't some naughty person written drinking words for Du Gamla, Du Fria?
That's funny that you use it as a drinking song. Apparently The Star-Spangled Banner was originally a drinking song!

Probably in Norway.

I was just talking about the music really, not the Stalin applauding lyrics.
It turns out Lenin wasn't as bad as people think. Stalin is the one who made communism look bad...
It's funny how communism is great in theory but horrible in practice...
|
|
|
|
|
It's not even great in theory, because it's against human nature.
