I was way off!
My answer was Champagne.
Pompous - French
Noted wine - Champagne.
Didn't seem right.

I like your thinking though
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming “Wow! What a Ride!" - Hunter S Thompson - RIP

Sorry - I was going to post that, but Herself slipped in the shower.
No damage - other than a bruised thumb - but I had to fix the shower door back on ...
Good clue!

Yeah, OK.
She's fine - as I said just a bruised thumb!

I would never have gotten it. Asti isn't wine; it's adult Kool-Aid.

I was thinking Amantiado.
Noted wine from famous short story
Ends in DO a musical note.
Not sure on the spelling and not a great fit to the rest of the clue.

So, I have this Winforms ClickOnce prog that only I use but it gets used weekly for the last 10 years. I needed to make a couple of minor changes before then manually updating on the only 2 PCs that it will ever run on.
Now, as I couldn't remember what folder the current version was installed from, I decided to uninstall then do a fresh install - otherwise it would throw an error and tell me it must be updated from the original install folder. However, despite it having a nice shiny icon on my desktop, and the program working, it does not appear on Win 11's list of Installed Apps, so I couldn't uninstall it without having to get "involved" in things.
So, I turned off assembly signing then published and lo and behold, it then installed, on both machines, from a different folder to the original install folder. Both versions of the prog are available to use, should I need to revert back e.g. if I discover I have made a boo-boo in the new version.
Obviously not suitable for any "real world" software, but for something for personal use only, makes life a bit easier. Now just wondering why Win 11 shows some of my homemade apps in its list but not others ...

What was the robot thinking? It is unclear from video. Was it considering the finger as a chess piece or perhaps reached for the piece and missed it?
Without more details, I just see this as clickbait headline.

It was suggested (in another report) that the boy tried to move a piece before the robot (thought it) had actually completed its move. But as with most robots it cannot recognise certain situations.

Obviously it was thinking:

And soon the company started marketing the product as child controller.

I was wondering if the kid was doing the "I still have my finger on the piece so I haven't REALLY finished my turn yet." thing and the robot got tired of waiting.
I’ve given up trying to be calm. However, I am open to feeling slightly less agitated.

Reducing the effectiveness of the Oppressor is going to put a lot of griefers out of business (I hope), and being able to do sell missions in a session lacking morons will help.
Pity they didn't do anything about the modders though.
I have high hopes for this DLC: I'll be trying it in an hour so don't expect "normal service" from me for a short while ...
