Maybe there should be an Apple icon for the Message Type so those of us not in the cult can ignore.

Didn't I read somewhere that Apple was doing a great scene about this upgrade being free?
In my head popped up the idea that if it was so crappy and feature poor that they thought it would be better just to give it away and make a show out of it

Aren't there tabs in Finder?

Just installed it myself - did you not get the new Map and iBook icon on your desktop too?
I hope the map is better because the ad bumph suggests you can plan a route on the desktop and send it to your phone for turn-by-turn spoken instructions.
if that works I will love it!

Yeah - can't see I'll be reading many books on the iMac, and the Maps are the same as on the iPad (but do look nice on a 27" monitor).

Think different Chris!
Maybe you paid so that the OS doesn't change!!!
|
|

Now that is a really great idea.
I'm actually willing to pay quite a lot, not to "upgrade" to Win 'ate.

A lot of them were inflated (a lot) and promoted to features just to allow that big fat +200 on top...

Sure, many are overblown, but there are some really good features there. I saw the demos this summer with multi-displays, Finder & Safari improvements - all impressive improvements. In many ways I prefer the latest Mac OS UI to the stagnating & de-emphasized Windows desktop. Wish Microsoft would give the Windows desktop similar attention.

My original post was tongue-in-check, but I am disappointed that MacOS seems to be years behind other OSs. Multiscreen support, for instance, really shouldn't be something to crow about. Not in 2013.
Regardless, I still love my Macs and my iPads, but I also still love my Ultrabooks and my servers.

Huh? It didn't have multi-screen support before?
The Mac II (or some version way back then) had that. Did it get lost along the way?
