I had a 720 phone, I sadly lost it last month. I recommend it, of course. Now I'm thinking to get the 625, seems it have a bigger battery duration.

I have a Nokia Lumia 800.
It has a design fault! dirt somehow gets inside the phone and lodges its self around the proximity sensor and can blank the screen out when you are trying to make or end a call. That has been my only complaint in the handset.

Thanks for the info Simon.
How the Performance, is it good or just ok?

Its not bad for a smartphone.
Generally have to charge once a day if the children are watching youtube or playing games otherwise around every 30hrs.
for me performance is good but then I dont do much with my phone other than make calls, send and view the odd web page via wifi.
a good point it is very easy to join WIFI networks unlike an IPhone which was cumbersome.

Lumia 800 is pretty old at this time and gives no WP8 support. If you choose to stick with a Lumia device, choose those with *20 suffix (720, 920, 1020 and also 925, 928) as they are WP 8.0 ready and would be upgraded to 8.1 soon.
I'm using a 920 for year. WP8 is kinda good at the moment. I am happy to see it being fixed time by time (can you believe you are given ability to manually close an application just 1 week ago?).
Wait a few more weeks for Lumia Icon and see if you love it.

I don't think that fault has anything to do with dirt getting into the phone. From my experience it happens when you make a call and cover the sensor and/or lock the phone. You described exactly, the phone gets locked, stucked, frozen...it is REALLY annoying.
Talking about Lumia 800, I'll not even comment the cover Nokia put on the charger (mini-USB) connection, it's a magnetic-plastic flappy thing stupid and pointless.
Other than that, it's a good phone.

I have a Lumia 720 and it is a fantastic phone. Bought if for 17K over six months ago, available now for around 15K.

Lumia 928. Best phone I've owned so far. I haven't had it long, so I cannot speak to longevity. It's designed well. It's fast and performs considerably better than the Android it replaced. Software is good and you can uninstall what you don't want.
I'm very happy with the battery life. I charge it once a day, but I'm pretty sure I could go two. Location is on all the time and so is Wi-Fi. I couldn't go a work day with my Android if I had either on.

I bought a 928 one week after launch and about a month later the speaker started acting up during phone calls to the point I had to use speaker phone all the time. I got a replacement through Verizon (awesome customer support on this btw) and a couple months later the replacement started acting up. I think the problem is that it started shortly after I used the headphone jack on both phones. Apparently from what I've searched online, the headphone jack is low quality and in conjunction with the Sim tray design, they cause a bad connection at the speaker? Anyway, I just press lightly on the back of the phone between the camera and the headphone jack when it acts up and everything is fine. I'll swap it just before it goes out of warranty.
All that being said, work wanted to get rid of all Blackberrys and their only options were Android phones and IPhones (neither of which I care to own) so I put in to be a test subject for the 928 last month. The sys admins got two in to test and 2 weeks later, a shiny new 928 shows up to replace my Blackberry, so now I carry two 928s. My battery lasts about 2 days for me with the Glance feature on all the time. The updated Glance with notifications is great for anyone that doesn't have this enabled. The only thing that's missing on these phones is VPN support. Maybe with the 8.1 update...

I've heard that 8.1 will have VPN support. And I love the updates to Glance introduced in Black.

Lumia 920 for about 7 months now, quite happy.
Bought it because of the sat nav, and now my sat nav can even send SMS or make calls!

I am a Nokia Lumia 720 user. The speed is excellent. Dual core 1GHz with Qualcomm MSM8227 prevents hang up and supports all the applications. It supports graphics very well with a 4.3 inch screen and 16M colors. The mobile supports multi-touch which is another added advantage and helps in faster processing.

I've had a Lumia 920 for about a year and I love it, best I've ever owned. At first, there was a glitch with the firmware, but the Nokia Software Updater (now version 4.1.0) took care of it. The Amber update was rock solid, as was Black. I use the phone all the time (email, SMS, Kindle, and best of all navigation). Nokia's turn-by-turn navigation requires no connection of any kind (no WiFi, no cellular data) if you download the country map(s) when connected to WiFi ahead of time. It has too many features that I love to list here (Glance, the camera and the camera software, etc.)
