Thanks for asking and for your interest.
My book takes a simpler approach to it, by attempting to describe object-oriented JavaScript as it is now implemented in current HTML5 supporting browsers.
I know that is a somewhat limited answer so I hope it doesn't annoy you.
So, specifically, I would say I do not cover the ES6 spec.
Thanks again,
~Newton

What do you mean when you up-vote the numerous RIP posts in the Lounge? Are you glad they've croaked?
Just curious

If I upvote an RIP, it's either to say "well said" about a particularly good piece about the deceased, or out of respect.

Unless it's Piers Morgan, in which case the "R" word can't be used in the same sentence.

Won't that obituary include a street party?

Probably.
Even if he isn't yet dead.

He is an elephanting sunshine and I'm glad his show was cancelled and I especially liked the way Chelsea Handler ripped him a new one: he is a sniveling, rodent-like roach-dropping of the highest order. Good riddance.

Thanks: would love to meet him so I can say that to his face. Wanker. (him, not you )

I've posted a lot of intelligent / deep developer discussions on CP.
However my of my up votes are from comments that are like this.
CP User> "I nearly ran someone over today".
Me> "You'll get them next time, I'm sure."
So this might give you an insight on the psychology of the lounge.

It IS The Lounge after all.
I, for one, hang out here between thinks.

If it's any consolation, back when I was active in the forums/Q&A most of my points came from "Please follow the instruction" type responses where the OP didn't have wit to ask questions in such a way that an answer was possible.

I down vote them. RIP posts are not appropriate unless you actually know the individual. Actually kind of offensive if anyone has someone personally die recently to go everywhere online and be reminded of how important others were compared to your dearly departed. But that is my opinion.

Know of? If not I think its kind of rude to post on the lounge anyway, like we really care what he thinks of it

I would too, but I really can't be bothered.

I'd prefer it were reserved for computing lengends as when DMR died, and no celebrities .
I'd rather read a joke for the tenth time than an obituary.
You'll never get very far if all you do is follow instructions.

I'm not questioning your powers of observation; I'm merely remarking upon the paradox of asking a masked man who he is. (V)

Why I upvote is to say thanks to the poster making us aware and gave a space to discuss good about the person.
