When you are analyzing any particular economy trade. Do you look at Merchandise import or total import and similarly for export?
Thanks

The figures published by the government here in the UK are usually given as totals, but the breakdown is available for those who are interested. Because of the large amounts earned by financial transactions they often quote a separate figure for "invisibles".

Thanks Richard. Makes sense. I am using total value now

Griff's post below made me go to the first article I posted here (in October '12) and look at it's stats.
I planned this as a brief intro, and never expected a lot of people to be interested in it (somewhat like "a service to the minority who happens to share my interest").
Now that I looked at it again it has over 50'000 views and more than 3000 downloads, in addition to a 4.94 voting (taken from 25 voters) - Somethin I never expected, yet I'm happy with this nice feeling of appreciation.
What was the last time you felt really appreciated for something you posted at CP?
I will never again mention that Dalek Dave was the poster of the One Millionth Lounge Post, nor that it was complete drivel.

When - much to my surprise - I was nominated for, and then won the C# Article of the Month!
Now, that is a really good feeling: your peers like something you have done!

I know my article[^] is a lot older, originally posted in 2001 and last updated in 2007, but I think it is my best work here. 267,000+ views and 12,000+ downloads and counting.

It's a rite of passage: from Junior School to The Big School. You can expect to feel a little apprehensive. Don't worry though, after a couple of weeks you will wonder why you worried, and how you ever coped with such a poor excuse for a language...
(It's a joke: VB isn't that bad, it just shows its age and its "non-programmer" origins. And it has ON ERROR RESUME NEXT which should have it put down...)
