Finish-honing the bores, checking main cap alignment, checking deck finish, verifying that the valve springs in the heads are the appropriate pressure for the camshaft, milling the heads to make sure they're flat, and assembling the long block.
All of the parts are new except the heads.

A piece of string has worked as well, but since string was scarce in the old garage we tended to use electrical wires instead.
That reminds me of that the belt to the alternator in my Porsche is slightly to long, I should fix that sometime... the same sometime as the last three tears. But there's no engine from Porsche in it, that got blown to bits and now there's something more reliable and more significantly a lot lighter.

Well, not even high-rep users can post pictures here, so you'll have to be happy with a link to the build page here[^].
Pictures will become more numerous once the build starts.

Well, I'm the pioneer, so I'm doing the web page for people that follow me down the same road. I had to research my ass off to build the list of parts. If I can save someone some time, all the better.

SOLUTION:
Simply disbling some complements / extensions have done it, it was my antivirus who had broken it...
PROBLEM:
And of course using another web browser is not a welcome answer.
When I start Internet Explorer it states that the last session ended unexpectedly and before I can do anything a new dialog appears telling me that "IE has stopped working" I can only debug and stop the program.
What would you do to get it working again?
I've tried to go to "windows features" and disable IE11, reset the computer and enable it again.
Before disabling and enabling it again I was able to start it in the "In Private" mode and it worked, but not in the normal way...
My settings are:
Windows 8.1.
IE11.
Any idea?
Thank you all!

Install Chrome.
Uninstall IE.
Use Chrome to download IE.
Reinstall IE.
Cross fingers and run...
(Then use Chrome instead)

This is IE you're talking about, one of the worst viruses after Norton. I'm sure it'll leave some artefacts there to ensure you can never again load a web browser [not just IE] until you buy a new machine, degrade install to XP via Vista before upgrading through 7-8-8.1.
Then, and only then, it might work. A bit.

I believe I had to do this once in the past... and this worked for me. I hardly ever use IE but I had to use it for something or another and it didn't want to work.

I can't uninstall it as it's a "Windows feature", I've been able to disable it though and then re-enable it...
No luck with that, now I'm downloading all yesterday's upgrades and see if they have some kind of effect there, if not I'll follow all other's recommendations and post which one has solved it.
Thank you OG!

Maybe click on an HTML file via Wnidows Explorer? That sort of thing got VS going for me last week. Couldn't hurt.

Disconnect from the internet, (manually) clear the cache, start IE.
