I picked up a packet of those in Bowmore back in May. Quite tasty, but not as good as a proper haggis.

So, in today's world wide development paradigm, I need to get something out for our test group in India. They are getting up soon, so they need code. Oh joy. So, my office is right off the kitchen. I cannot kick any of my daughters out yet, but I have an eye on the back upstairs bedroom as my next office.
The kitchen is today's gathering room, but I can deal with the chatter. I cannot deal with the elephanting dogs barking at each other...

No, I just don't remember the time... 
Actually some time after I graduated high school (1984) and before I graduated college (1992), I got fed up with having the band shave that part of my wrist so I relocated the watch to my pocket. I kept a succession of Casio calculator watches in my pocket until I got a cell phone. Since getting a phone I haven't carried a watch at all.

is the temperature outside. That's 44 Celsius for the metric heads. The air conditioning is running full blast and we are still hot. Would go swimming but the pool is completely exposed so will be like a furnace.

Yeah, when it's cold you can turn up the heater and/or put on an extra vest.
When it's friggin hot outside there's only so much clothing you can take off. And where I come from airconditioning is pretty rare in houses. There's just nothing you can do about heat.

Yeah, it's definitely easier to warm up than it is to cool down, so if it has to be an extreme, I prefer the cold.
That and you can chill your beer out on the window sill too

Anything over 32 C is too hot, 90F. Thats a nice temp, nice enough to sit in the shade and drink a long slow red wine and lemonade.

You said "111F, air con flat out, nice". Why? If 111F is nice why do you need aircon? Clearly it isnt nice. Its unpleasant.
What I said is that 32C is the hottest that can be called nice.
I would have thought it obvious.
