Been studying people my whole life man. And if you really must know, while I don't typically take a ruler around with me, I have been in male locker rooms on almost a daily basis my whole life. I do know a thing or two about pencils.

If the locker rooms are anything like the Blue Lagoons[^] then you data is flawed.

That does indeed sound exactly like what a non-trivial number of people say when asked about objective data for subjects that are obviously subjective.

Ok sure, but it also means after YEARS of study, I'm way more qualified to make an assertion such as I did than you are to refute it. Because if you've studied it for years, we'd be having a different conversation than the typical arguments found on CP, that have zero basis on real life experience. And yet, most people here think they know everything because they read XYZ from a book. Which coincidentally, even most book authors don't have that much real life experience. Case of the blind leading the blind.
So, I'll take my "subjective" experience over blind ignorance any day.
And no, I don't think a large penciled man can't get mad.

First of course the latter part of that presumes facts not in evidence and of course is an attempt at denigration.
Second the statement is still subject to what I said previously include religious revelations along the line of "If you did believe in God then you would understand it."
Jeremy Falcon wrote: Because if you've studied it for years
I have spent decades learning and in fact studying (by reading about various studies conducted in sociological, psychological and with in the context of technical groups) about the ways in which people can rationalize their subjective opinions including attempts to prove them.

You can try and sound smart all you want man. I'm not impressed. Get away from the books and start using your own eyes. If you really want to interest me, start talking about more than how many years we've been looking into this (all that is is classic diversion) like we're comparing p*n*s size and stop overusing big words and talk like a human.
Oh, and don't worry, I won't tell anyone about your small pencil.

I am not surprised that you find your own opinion better than actual research.

I'm not impressed that you discredit my research based on nothing more than your own personal opinion. Did you inquire about specifics? Did you offer to even talk to me about it? No, you simply spouted off random crap to try and sound smart.

Yes I did inquire about specifics in my very first response and which you ignored.
"So you have met men with this problem and then you measured their pencils? How many men have you measured?
Did anyone refuse to be measured? If yes then how did you correct for that?"

Oh and make sure you wait another 5 days to come up with a reply. Because you know, really intelligent people take forever to think. You could say you were too busy to think of something in under 5 days, but I have enough people experience to know that's not true either.

You do/did by virtue of arguing right off the bat, so if intelligent people don't do that then, well then I completely agree that you're not intelligent.

That's cute. Typical of a introvert. And we all know introverts know soooo much about people by never actually interacting with people. I'm so humbled by your wisdom. You've Googled stuff and therefore know everything without even caring about personal experience. So you are so wise to never credit thinking for yourself. Oh, if only I had more books to read instead of using my own brain, I could also pretend I know what I'm doing when I don't. But alas, I still must revert back to my REAL LIFE EXPERIENCE over a quick Google search like you did when trying to sound smart.

Your first posting on this thread can be taken as nothing but denigration.

That of course has nothing to do with what I said.

Your assumptions are baseless and false.
Jeremy Falcon wrote: You've Googled stuff and therefore know everything without even caring about personal experience
Again false. Most of my knowledge comes from reading journals.
Jeremy Falcon wrote: So you are so wise to never ...
Your insults can do nothing but bore me or amuse me. They can only be amusing if they are clever and not repetitious. You are failing at both.
You could of course actually try to defend your position rather than doing nothing but attacking my character. If you can of course.
