So far my daughter and I have been practicing at home with pvc pipe, and using loaners when we were at the academy. I just ordered us a some kali sticks today, so I should have them in a week.
I'd do the little dancing guy icon, but I don't know how.

Cool! I had to look up kali stick, though. I've used a jong bo and kendo sticks, but never heard of kali. Sounds like fun!

I actually take Jeet Kune Do for my striking class. It's mostly Muay Thai, Win Chung, and Phillipino arts (like kali) .

Combat Submission Wrestling (no-gi style by Eric Paulson). It's not as popular as BJJ, but there are some notable MMA fighters that used it...
Anyway, CSW and Jun Fan / Jeet Kune Do / Kali seem to blend together a lot.

We have two classes. Jeet Kunde Do, and then BJJ after. On fridays is open mat for anything live action.
Aside from that, I'm in a boxing gym right now picking up my striking game a little more.

I guess when getting punched in the face gets old, you can always smash out a few teeth with hickory sticks!
I used to go to a gym that did MMA and Kali. A very different mix of people.
Fun Fact: Look up the Dog Brothers. They tried to bring full contact (and no padding) Kali fights into the UFC, back when the UFC was almost banned in the US. The UFC told them that the public wasn't ready

I have worn out my I-told-you-so stick. Perhaps I should try one of those Kali sticks instead.

I have an "I told you so stick" (bamboo walking stick) that I take along on walks for when the dogs get aggressive because I am walking by where they live.
It really works.

I just got an email request from an internal client to reduce the scope of a project. I feel like a deer in headlights. My world view has been shaken. How can I cope with this traumatic situation?
