It'd be a whole different story had you decided to shut all the doors, locking them from the "outside", with the car still running...
|
|
|
|
|
In that case, the door would be opened.. in a big way... from the inside. There might be front end damage to the car, but the door would be 'open'.

Hmmm, you've got to stick with it a bit.
It reminded me of this[^], but actually done in earnest.

There is a big difference between "horse play" and whacking a minority co-worker.

Video seems it was made in the late 80's or early 90's...
Besides, I never bring my horse to work, anyway!

Anyone know if it's possible to get access to music as a data feed? I'd like to write something that does what I want in place of pandora, without paying a gazillion dollars.
Pandora is not really fitting my needs. I like the way it works, but their algorithm for what music to play is flawed. I wouldn't mind that, but it only lets you skip 6 an hour. So if I'm working out and want to hear hard rock they keep playing old punk rock (like maybe dead milkmen) or slow stuff. Not what I want on my workout station.
If not , then maybe someone knows something that works like pandora but isn't stupid?

I think this is what your asking for (though I don't know what Pandora is so can't be sure).
Spotify - though you do get adverts.
Grooveshark[^] - Is probably better - No adverts

Pandora[^] is similar to grooveshark. You pick an artist or genre and it plays a feed for you with related music. There is a free version that plays adds, and a paid version with no adds an an optional desktop app install.
You can vote a song down, and it won't play it on that station again ever.
You can vote songs up as well. But if you do, it makes them filter songs heavily. So if you like a few songs, you severely limit what is played.
It also ends up playing the same songs a lot.

I was recently introduced to Spotify. I am enjoying this. It is set by playlists that you choose from. You can select where you want to start listening within the playlist. I like that
So far I am liking it. I have been a fan for Pandora for a while, but I completely agree with you. I am enjoying Spotify so I don't see a need to go back to Pandora.

No service will carry what I like, but they do carry a lot I don't like.
I simply rip CDs, vinyl, cassette, etc. to MP3 and let my phone randomize.
At the moment, my phone is playing a tune by my brother-in-law's friend -- no service will carry that.

The trick is to have more than one "station" - which can be a similar, if not identical, genre. Instead of telling it to skip a song just change station - it has the same effect without the restrictions on the number of skips per hour.
- I would love to change the world, but they won’t give me the source code.
