Well, I would say now is the time for CP to pioneer meaningful on-line tutoring !
I know how I would go about it, and if/when the time is "ripe," I'll be happy to put my ideas on, or under, the table Smile |
If not "us:" who ?
cheers, Bill
I'm with Bill. Let's set this up. Helpouts was not a success so we should hear how Bill would set it up.

Helpouts hasn't been a success yet: but it's early days - and most of the world can't sign up for it as a mentor, because Google is still restricting it to just the USA (or was last time I looked)
Give it time: if Google really gets behind it (and the beta period was measured in days, not months) it could be a good idea, and work well.
Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay...

Google's killing helpouts. See the Insider News.

I can explain anything to any audience, and I've tailored more training projects than I care to remember.
My only problem would be time, but I'd be willing to do what I can.

I've just clicked the 'Notify me of new posts' button. Now at least I will know when they are talking even if I don't know what they are talking about.

Breakfast:
French Toast with almond extract and cardamon served with warm (and real) maple syrup and whip cream made from coconut milk fat and more almond extract, served with a side of bacon. (She loves almond extract!)
Dinner (later tonight):
Salmon with a sesame-wasabi-miso crust (plus a couple sides: garlic string beans, and sweet potato.)
I do love making delicious meals for my sweetie.

What scrumptiously romantic delectables you have prepared, chef de cuisine !
Wasabi-miso crust: how do you keep it from being too salty ?
cheers, Bill

I have no idea, I've never made it before.
However, my gf really likes salty stuff, so it's rare to encounter a "it's too salty" reaction!
[edit]Also, the white miso I will be using is actually not too salty [/edit]

Breakfast:
Yoghurt with cerial, like I eat every day.
Dinner (just had):
Lettuce with sun-dried tomatoes, feta cheese, apple and olives. Going to make dessert (called banana drama) in a minute!
I do love eating alone, cooking alone, being alone... In fact I love myself so much that later I... Nevermind[^]
And maybe I'll try to have a girlfriend next year

Yeah, it turned out great! I had to double the amount of wasabi -- American recipes are so bland -- to even taste it. But the whole meal was a great success.
