during the pandemic, the post office lost $250 worth of packages of mine. The items were shipped but never made it to my front door. To this day, they have not found them.
The post office manager said this was an everyday occurrence at the time.
more recently, Amazon in my area is now using UPS to deliver packages that its short-staffed delivery service cannot - for reasons I am not exactly sure of ( I can only guess, i.e. out sick, etc.). Hopefully, these packages don't become missing or lost. ugh.
Post office tracking numbers are slightly more useless than UPS, in my experience. If the items don't get logged during transit, the transit status never changes.

I have had good luck with UPS as well.
I suspect weather is problem.
Lots of it between Philly and NW coast.
Stay cool (no pun intended).
Vendor not accepting returns is not cool.

Not accepting returns is really common with hard to find GPUs right now. That market is ugly.

You have my condolences.
Two weeks ago I returned from a weekend away to find some property missing. No worries, I have cameras everywhere. Sadly, though, I can't recall my password for the DVR, and the only way to reset the password is to use the remote control. Coming from Sam's Club, the remote was not included in the package. I checked with the manufacturer - the remote is discontinued. I searched Amazon and found one that claims to be compatible, so I ordered it on Jan 16. It was promised to be delivered on Jan 19, but they shipped it using SurePost, the US Postal's system for losing packages. As soon as it hit USP, it went into the Phantom Zone. It left Phoenix last Thursday at 3:50 AM and hasn't phoned home since. Phoenix is a four-hour drive away, and the Post Office is three blocks away. In the meantime, I can't review the video to identify the thief, because that can only be done from the front panel.

Well, clearly that was too easy, even for a Monday.
Well done, YAUT.

That's why I try and avoid anagrams Rich , they almost always get solved quickly

I've watched enough WW2 movies to know what the RAF is, even over here on the left side of the pond.
I’ve given up trying to be calm. However, I am open to feeling slightly less agitated.

How does MVP apply here? Most Valuable Player of what?

In the context of CP, I always understood it to mean "Most Valuable Professional".
We get all kinds here, from beginners to those with decades of experience, so giving them a single title (as in "Programmer") would be worse than inaccurate, it would be futile.

As Daniel says, it's "Most Valuable Professional" - but there are variations within that: Most Valuable Expert (MVE) for answering questions, and Most Valuable Author (MVA) for writing articles. There may be others, but those are the two I know of.
