Guess that means the end of my hopes for a Wonderfalls[^] revival then?

Isn't he the same guy who gave us the Lawn Jockey[^]? They're equally tacky and tasteless, but as far as I know, no one will sue you for having a pink chicken in the yard.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are reportedly in the “final stages of authorisation” concerning the adoption of the Hellenic Republic of Greece.

Most likely the cheapest adoption they have had!

Considering the fact that the Greek rulers seem to be humans with "special needs" as far as intellect is concerned, I would suggest adoption by Bill Gates would have been more appropriate! It will take Gates' resources to save them.

Sorry to rain on your parade, but Bill Gates and Warren Buffet combined couldn't tackle Greece's modest overdraft - around €330Bn. It's probably a bit more now![^]

Only 330 Billion Euro?? Only 30300 Euro per citizen? What's the problem? The US debt is around $57,000 per citizen, and Obama is not losing any sleep over it!

It's not (just) the amount that is the problem, it's the debt as a percentage of the GDP.
But even that is only about half and a bit more than the US.
The big problem is that they can't pay back.
|
|
|

The problem is that that's just the Greek debt. When you add up the debts of other EU nations, you get a much larger sum.
If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack.

Just been in a meeting.
"When we move to 24 hour working the system will come down at eleven each night instead of nine".
I just let it go.

How many hours will be in a day then?

Alex: Fix it? How you gonna fix this?

I think they mean 24 hours a week.
I'm retired. There's a nap for that...

You mean in a 24-hr day in the new system or a 24-hr day in the old system?

Well to be fair, they haven't yet specified which 24 hours they'll be working in!
|
|
|
|

Tell them to convert to decimal time and then they can bring the system down at 8.30.

Maybe they were talking about the new 100 hour metric day!
