Quote: writing exception-safe classes is a non-trivial task
You are very very right. After 30 years programming I still fight sometimes (always? ) on this.

Yes! Dispose is such a stupid hack -- the ability to blow the brains out of an object and still leave a valid shell around to cause problems.. who needs that.
We can program with only 1's, but if all you've got are zeros, you've got nothing.

Does anyone know the name of the font used in the Bureau Veritas Logo ?
I'm talking about the white text in the burgandy rectangle which also has an oval emblem overlay LIKE THIS[^]
Better yet, can someone point me to that same logo in a Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) format ?
I'm trying to place it, by itself, without a white rectangular frame, on a presentation.
The oval overlay, as an SVG file, would be helpful itself.
Ten or Twenty clicks at their website, plus another five searches with Google, find me lots of PNG files with the logo in a white rectangle. No. Wrong. I already have that. I want it in SVG, just the burgandy rectangle and the oval emblem overlaying it.
Thanks if anyone knows.

if ever I needed something like this I used to go to the sales and or marketing departments - they were the 'keepers of the official logos' for all paraphernalia, ie sending to the printers for official documents - so, if you/they have an official sales/marketing/media dept they'll likely supply you with the logo

Well, almost.
That logo does not fit nicely on the page I'm making.
I finally found it, HERE[^].

What the he-double-toothpicks is with you and posting things like this?

Some will; many will end up on Practice Squads, and eventually find their way on to some team's 53.
const int COUNT_NFL_TEAMS = 32;
const int PRECUT_PLAYER_COUNT = 75;
const int POST_CUT_PLAYER_COUNT = 53;
function int getCutCount() {
return COUNT_NFL_TEAMS * (PRECUT_PLAYER_COUNT - POST_CUT_PLAYER_COUNT);
}
int playersCut = getCutCount();

And what's more impressive is there seemed to be a woman in a the bottom left corner of a few frames that was actually translating in real time into sign language.
It seems like something would be lost in the translation.

Hello all,
It looks like Netflix will arrive soon to Spain (it was about time)...
We do have a Smart TV model from 2010, it's a very nice FullHD TV, but it does not has a Netflix application...
So... how does Netflix arrive to let's say a "Dumb" TV?
Do I need some kind of box?
I have seen Apple TV, Roku... it looks like all of them can do it, which would be your recommendation?
Believe it or not I have Googled it and I have found only plenty of disgusted people because my TV doesn't have the Netflix app, some people recommending those boxes, people recommending to plug the computer directly to the TV, raspberry Pi solutions, and even some people trying to stream the content using media servers...
Any advice to separate all this noise?
Thank you in advance!

I would not like to have a computer nor a phone active during that... Apart of that the couple of Chromecasts I installed on my parents TVs are working great, not tried Netflix, but...

Yes, you will need some sort of "box" that will connect to the internet and to your TV. That can be Google's ChromeCast or a Roku box or something similar. If you have a DVD player it may also have Netflix on it or you can buy one with the Netflix app in it.
If you have a Nintendo Wii you can download the Netflix app for free to that.
If your TV has an HDMI port then your options are many.
I think the cheapest if you don't already have a "box" (and you have a smartphone) is the ChromeCast and the netflix app on your smartphone.
