Much better.
I don't have the time to watch as much British shows as I wish. My wife and I were watching a few there, for a while, but kids and life are in full swing now, and TV/shows/movies have been put on a back burner for awhile.

I want y'all's opinion on this...
I just checked out a new article here[^], but I can't help but feel I was totally plagiarized from one[^] I wrote years ago. The intro seesm a bit too much like my intro. The style of teaching and math is the same.
What you guys think? I'm thinking ol' homeboy done went took my concepts and passed them off as his own.

What specifically seems too much like your? The idea of talking about hexadecimal and octal? I don't see much in similarity other than what is common knowledge in Computer Science studies for going over how to do number system conversions.
Yours is better in my opinion.

The main thing that seemed a bit too much like mine was the intros. The rest can be argued "common knowledge", but the intros make me thing it was a "hmm this looks cool let me rewrite it."

I read both intros: I do not experience them as similar; and, imho, they are both rather silly.

as someone occasionally working in the field of IP Copyright Infringement, I'd have to suggest that's its the same domain but there's not enough there to warrant hanging suggest plagiarism

1971 for us Brits - 1 was 13 at the time. This meant I was able to advise youngsters on how to convert old money to decimal when converting data about fines held on Scotland Yard's criminal records systems - We had to convert old fines held in guineas, pounds, shillings and pence (even farthings!) into their decimal equivalent.

Plagiarism is usually demonstrated by entire tracts of text being lifted.
I couldn't see any similarity between the introductions other than them covering the same general area.
Having said this it's always best to check with others when you have a suspicion of plagiarism and I think you have done the right thing by checking out your concerns.
As as aside someone lifted the entire text from an article I wrote a few years back - it was word for word exactly the same and they claimed the work as their own(on another site) - the good people at CP descended on this plagiarist and the article was removed within hours.

Well i guess that's the problem of writing about a very easy and common knowledge based subject. I can't specifically spot any plagiarism within the intros. Then, teaching the same way is not considered as plagiarism, i mean dude, what would all teachers world wide do?
He deserves the honor for his writing, although not for the maths and stuff behind it as he is just repeating what everybody should know ^^

I read them both, especially the intros as you suggested, and cannot see plagiarism.
Some things are so basic and so misunderstood from the lowly masses that teaching methods tend to become similar - I used almost the same words of both the introductions to teach the concept to my classmates years ago, but I don't really think that both of you microphoned my conversations and translated them from Italian just to post an article on CP
