LOL. I just answered a silly question in the QA, just now. So much for "ever".
Why you ask. Too many prima donnas and know it alls in the QA now, a few in particular. They seem to have everything under control, I guess.
Also, I don't like how the QA forum is run internally, on so many levels.
Let's put it this way, when I need the answer to a question or problem, I don't use our QA, I use a couple of other ones.

Who's this Isiah, chap then? There's an Isaiah in the Bible but he's far too liberal to be who you're referring to.

Paging Charles Darwin[^]
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

We used do something like this when I was a kid (a bit less dangerous though)
The leads on appliances get frayed after some years of use, and the conductor sometimes breaks inside the insulation, near the plug. A replacement plug could be bought, but that was a two-hour bus ride away, so we used to cut off the plug entirely and shove the ends of the wire directly into the socket.
The holes are circular like this[^], so the wire would get detached hundreds of times during use before someone actually remembered to get a new plug.

Please post your question in the quick answers forum. See navigation menu at top of page.

Yeah, because developing an entire mobile SMS application will be "quick".
I'm thinking we need a "Please do my homework for me" forum.

Hey, what about non-binary folks? I feel a protest comin' on.

It's impossible. Mobile applications do not exist. It's just a hoax the tech community likes to play. When you use your phone it's just a series of videos that interchange depending on what you press to give the illusion of application usage. So, I'd suggest your first start would be to look into video editing with an app such as Adobe After Effects if you're really serious about this.

Q&A forum with:
Kind of mobile OS.
Search for the api of that OS.
Search which software you need to develop for that OS.
Design a flowchart and the app requisites.
Start programing and come back to Q&A at anytime with specific questions.
And the last one : good luck!

If you post in the appropriate forum you will get answers, but not likely anyone who is going to do this all for you.

That's just not going to happen. There is no "step-by-step" when developing applications.

0) Create a catchy name and a VERY vague description with a lot of industry buzz words.
1) Pitch the idea to venture capitalists and angel investors.
2) Lease a bunch of high priced / cool office space in "The Valley".
3) Fill space with quirky furniture, silly table games and expensive latte machines.
4) Hire your college buddies to fill odd named executive positions (Chief Spiritual Officer, Digital Overlord, VP of Creative)
5) Hire a diverse group of Hipster developers straight out of school and promise them founders shares.
6) Pray somebody in #5 has a clue.
7) Plan your IPO!!!

I've been getting emails from my kids teacher all school year with a fair amount of the text off the page and unreadable. I decided to see if it was a problem with Firefox, so I saved the email source to a file on my desktop. Next I opened up Chrome and did a drag and drop to a new tab, still broke. So I loaded up MS Edge and tried to drag and drop the file into a new tab... MS Edge won't accept a drag and drop of a html file to display. Isn't this supposed to be standard browser functionality?

Confirmed.
It's probably something to do with Edge being a don't-call-it-Metro "app", rather than a desktop application. You can't even launch a website in it sensibly if it's not the default - all other browsers work with browser.exe TheUrlToOpen , but Edge requires start microsoft-edge:TheUrlToOpen instead.
