I had a good laugh at this, my DAL began life in the 90s, way before AddWithValue was invented. I specify the length and precision of each parameter (code generator).
I recently had a "discussion" with a young whipper snapper who wanted to change the DAL, this information would have shortened the length of the "discussion" dramatically.

The figures are even better than in my original message: That's the total time the insertion code takes to finish which also includes building the SQL statements. As I ran the time comparison I was so excited how dramatically it dropped that I totally forgot about that before I wrote the message

Takes Marx one step further, now you don't even need to have ability. Well, now I feel better.

If wages drop, by definition this makes demand for goods and services drop - so if we automate everything and wages drop to zero then demand for anything except life essentials will drop to zero and there will be no reason for the robots to make anything.

Well, they will need to keep making robots and robot parts, to keep us enslaved.

Well, you're assuming that robots will gain intelligence and consciousness some day...
But why would they ever do that? I has yet to happen to the human population...

They don't need to be that intelligent, just more intelligent than us.

So why aren't we enslaved yet?

If you tend toward the negative, consider the inverse of this truth, which might be something like:
Maharba Wolsam said: "All the miserable people I know are that way because they are not working on anything, or anything they consider important."

I would say that happiness is also directly proportional to the amount of alcohol they consume while working...

That's true. But I've given it some thought, and actually I don't believe that that whole graph is accurate.
At least as far as I am concerned, the curve starts out low, rises with the percentage until a given point where it drops suddenly.
I think I'll have to investigate further. Who knows, I might write myself into BOTH medical AND computer science history in one go. I realise of course that it's going to take a long time and a lot of tests, but I guess I'll have to make that sacrifice for science!
That is: Unless Nagy is already further along in those studies than me ???

The only happy people I know should have been locked away for the safety of the public years ago! I'm determined to have happiness declared a mental illness before I go to my rest! Save the world; drown an optimist!

You manipulated the inverse of quote a little bit (and wrongly so):
It should be "All the miserable people I know are that way because they are working badly on something they consider important or they have jobs which they consider unimportant."
It doesn't state anything about not working.
Are all people that are retired considered to be unhappy?
Otherwise I like it.

That's a good point, but I wasn't thinking about people who don't have a job.
I was thinking more along the lines of someone who really isn't working on anything they themselves consider important but still have the ability to do so.

Aah, yes... Now I get it. Yes, that is very painful. To that I'll add that: Doing work that I know is pointless also causes extreme unhappiness.
