So? Was I right or was I right?

it's not a problem to follow multiple lines but im talking about FOCUS, when you do 2 movies in the same universe squeezing out every bit of story you possibly could i imagine sw VIII to flop.

I wouldn't worry about that. It's two different stories, two different sets of characters and two different periods in time. I think they can come up with sufficient material for that.
What I WOULD worry about, though, is them using up their entire SFX arsenal in one movie. Now THAT's an actual possibility.
But nevertheless, It's with SW movies like sex: Even bad SW movies are better than no SW movies at all!

It's a prequel to the first one (Episode IV) in a trilogy of seven involving the same universe but from a different viewpoint and explaining some of the bits they glossed over in the original. (And boy did they gloss over things in the original!)
In that sense, it's like ST-DS9, ST-V, or ST-E compared with ST and ST-TNG. Same universe, different characters.
It's gotta be better than Force Awakens - which was ... um ... not that good, but a good starter for the next series. If they stop crossing it with Harry Potter!

Actually i might be lonely on that road but i kinda liked tfa, it was no star wars but it was a good movie. For a real star wars movie it should have been bigger, like big battles and big battles, did i already mention big battles?

I think the problem for me was that it spent too much time trying to "establish its credentials" as part of the Star Wars canon: "cram in the old familiar faces and everyone will know it's real" kinda thing. And what it missed out was the "soul" of Star Wars, the "feel" that made you want to watch it.
And there was a definite "Harry Potter" smell to the whole story!

Jennifer Lawrence lookalike. Couldn't they hire her? With Forest Whitaker it would be at least some good acting I guess.

Give others one OS and they take another.

Well you have Ubuntu running on Windows 10, and X11 running on Ubuntu, so now if someone gets Wine running on X11, then we can have Notepad running on Wine running on X11 running on Ubuntu running on Windows 10. Inception!
