This is Javascript. If you put big wheels and a racing stripe on a golf cart, it's still a f***ing golf cart.

If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack.

Tiny hairs enable bumblebees to detect electrical fields: study finds: [^].
"Bumblebees are known for some impressive physical feats, including the ability to fly at high altitudes and see ultraviolet light. In 2013, a study added a new superpower to the bees’ arsenal when researchers discovered that they’re actually able to detect electric fields — a special sense that can help them forage by enabling them to sense electrical charges on flowers."
«There is a spectrum, from "clearly desirable behaviour," to "possibly dodgy behavior that still makes some sense," to "clearly undesirable behavior." We try to make the latter into warnings or, better, errors. But stuff that is in the middle category you don’t want to restrict unless there is a clear way to work around it.» Eric Lippert, May 14, 2008

Anybody else getting this latest display driver crashing randomly?
I had my doubts when i upgraded it, as this is the first geforce driver install that has miss-behaved for years. It kept telling me that the hardware wizard was active, even after reboots.
Now I get random driver crashing (screen goes black for a second) then a toast notification telling me it had crashed and recovered.
if it keeps this up regularly, I feel a roll back on the [gpu ] cards....

Windows 10 by chance?
A friend of mine is having recent issues with Windows 10 and his video driver(s) for certain games and apps - even after latest updates and patches, etc.
Yep, but this is the first time I've had problems, its been windows 10 for a while now and had several geforce updates.
Same scenario as my friend. He just started having problems within the last few days, that he noticed. He is waiting to see if this is resolved in a week or two of "further" updates.

Which video card are you using? I have GTX 745 and it works well after last update, but that update introduced one oddity: Windows 10 now lists the video card as an "ejectable device", along with external USB drives. Weird!
Get me coffee and no one gets hurt!

Alex: Fix it? How you gonna fix this?
Skipper: Grit, spit and a whole lotta duct tape.

(as far as I understand) it is a nVidia update, not a windows update ( you get a popup from the nVidia control panel junk.
I'd rather be phishing!

Not with my 560ti and Windows 8.1. I find 368.22 slightly more stable than its predecessor, though the biggest problems remains Flash.

This morning, when I entered the kitchen, my wife gave me a big kiss and said "Happy anniversary".
I replied "What? I didn't think you were old enough to be at Jutland".
This, I fear, was a mistake.
