Gojira - Silvera[^]
From Gojira's new album, Magma.
I've always kind of liked Gojira, but their new album just blew me away!
Picking a particular song sound from the album was not easy, they're all good!
It's not exactly easy listening, not even for metalheads, but that's one of the things I like about it
The album has been pretty much on repeat since I first heard it last week

Sorry but the vid I just posted[^] on the Euro 2016 thread invalidates all other claimants to "Sound of the Week" Withdraw, sir, or I shall have satisfaction upon the duelling field!
I am not a number. I am a ... no, wait!

Indeed great, their best album I think
and ... yes, I am reading your book while listening,
(just checking what I don't know ...)

That deserves a double upvote!
How did you like my book?

I have no idea what you're talking about...

I just read the header and figured sound of the week would be some sort of noise that encapsulated the state of the week. IT doesn't matter, I'm not that funny

Actually Sound of the Week is just my Song of the Week renamed.
Some people would question the definition of song almost weekly...

Nah, it's just that I have a Master in Acoustics, so I connect sound with different things than just music. Sound to me is everything that you can hear (or not); noise, music etc.

I can now post songs, aria's, instrumentals, noise, pop, rock, classical, extreme brutal goregrind death metal, whatever, without getting the comments "that's not a song!" or even "that's not music!"

Well, you know, they gotta' have something to talk about I guess

If the sound-track, and all the video-shots of the mutants in the final stages of rabies-induced mania posing with musical instruments were removed, I might enjoy this

Maybe if they added some sitar[^]?

Hi Sandor, I'm afraid one hangover the sixties left me with was an allergy to sitar music (the other allergic reactions include tie-dyed-tee-shirts, peace-
symbols, and the smell of ganja); yes, it's weird because I do enjoy the sounds of sarod, santur, sarangi.
I'm curious if you have seen Gotye and Kimbra's remarkable duet, "Somebody That You Used to Love" [^] ?
cheers, Bill

And I now realize it's the same Kimbra as "Two Way Street[^]"

Maybe.
